Catherine Pooler Designs:: Winter Wonders Release

Right on the heels of their last ink sale, Catherine Pooler Designs is showcasing items from their next release, Winter Wonders! This winter related collection is all about the wonders of Winter-snowflakes, peaceful owls and evergreens perfect for scene building! Early ordering is available for StampNation members on Tuesday, Nov 9th at noon EST and ordering to the general public goes live on Wednesday, Nov 10th at 9am EST.

Catherine sneaked a few products today, two of which were the Cheerful Greetings Stamp Set and corresponding die set. As soon as I saw the Cheerful Greetings Stamp Set I was so excited because 1. it has so many versatile sentiment mixes and 2. Is great for masculine or feminine cards!

I paired the Cheerful Greetings Stamp Set stamped in Sage ink with older masculine based products like the deer from Wild About You and the Lumberjack Patterned Paper Pack.

I used the color wheel to help with ink color choices for stamp layering on my card today. I love the mix of purples and yellows together! With so many layered stamp sets available, these inks are perfect to achieve a realistic look.

If you are new to CP Inks, this is a great time to try them out.  If you've been getting inky with us for a while, maybe there are a few colors you're missing or maybe you need to stock up on refills.

My card today showcases some more techniques that are perfect for Catherine Pooler Designs ink.

The first: Direct to paper technique to create custom cardstock every single time. I did this with the card base to create the bright pink cardbase from white cardsock, and to quickly color the flamingo as well.

The second: Ink blend over stencils. I created a background using a stencil where I applied ink right over the stencil onto the paper on the top and bottom of the panel, and then ink blended with a brush in the middle. The third use of the inks and stencil was to spray the stencil with water after inking and applied that to the background for a soft, fuzzy look to create even more dimension.

The qualities of these inks are just outstanding. They truly are the best inks on the planet!
