Eleven Big Thanks

Eleven big thank you's coming to the way of a dedicated teacher! I'm here today to showcase a single stamp set from the new release coming soon, the Flutters and Blooms Release from Catherine Pooler Designs! 

Flutters and Blooms Collection has an array of flutter and blooms, but true to the Catherine Pooler Designs style, she has also included some everyday, essential stamp sets into the collection as well, like this Big Thanks Stamp Set. With the help of the MISTI,  I stamped the "Thank" sentiment eleven times onto Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, shifting the paper slightly.

The inks I used are Lemongrass, Limencello, Melon Ice, Garden Party, Lime Ricky, Mardi Gras, All that Jazz, Aquatini, Mint to Be, Hot Tub and Midnight. I finished the card with a strip covered in Hot Tub ink and stamped with "You", also from the Big Thanks Stamp Set.

I can envision this card done in a rainbow of inks, shades of red/pink, orange/yellow, etc! I can't wait to show you more cards I made with the Flutters and Blooms Release releasing on April 29th.

An Apple Tree Thank You

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up for our school. Although the teachers don't see students in their classrooms now, I think they are working extra hard to make things "normal" for my boys and all their students. I made this card for one of the teachers, and will slip it in her mailbox.

I based the card off the April Sketch Starter Challenge, hosted by Pixel Maven's Retreat. I found Nicole's Blog while hopping along the #spreadjoynotgerms Blog Hop!

I used an older Altenew Set, Apple Trees, to create the grid background, and then stamped the petite sentiment from the same set. I used Catherine Pooler Inks for the layering.

Flutters & Blooms Sneak

Everyone needs some flutters and blooms in their life! I'm excited to show you this card I made using the gorgeous Wings of Joy Stamp Set from the Flutters and Blooms Release from Catherine Pooler Designs! 

Flutters and Blooms Collection is beautiful, and this large butterfly can carry a card so well! I heat embossed the butterfly onto a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, as well as another panel. Then I inked up the panel and die cut the wings with the corresponding Wings of Joy Die Cuts. I attached them to the card, so that you can lift up the wings from the card base.

The wings were inked with Sweet Sixteen and It's a Girl inks. I then inked the edges of the card base with It's a Boy ink, and added some detail with a small stamp from Wings of Joy Stamp Set. I finished with a heat embossed sentiment from Wings of Joy Stamp Set as well.

The Flutters and Blooms Release from Catherine Pooler Designs will be live at 9am EST, on Wednesday, April 29th!

#spreadjoynotgerms Blog Hop

I'm excited to participate in the #spreadjoynotgerms- spreading a whole lot of joy to those that are doing their part, staying home and NOT spreading germs! I created this cheeky lil' number to send to a friend who loves to garden. We've both been talking about getting outside to work on our gardens as soon as the weather warms up a bit more. I'm featuring Catherine Pooler supplies on my card today. I started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, inking it up in Aquatini Ink with the Split Chevron Stencil. I then created a focal panel with the Spiral Notebook Border Die in White Cardstock blocked with black cardstock.

Then the bunch of carrots were created with the whimsical Veggies Please Stamp Set stamped in Orange Peel and Lime Rickey Inks. To add some character (and joy!) I stamped a smile from the Build a Snowman Stamp Set. I finished with a sentiment from Veggies Please stamped in Midnight Ink and a few staples to adhere the panel to the card base.

We're In This Together

Have you seen the free digital download available at Catherine Pooler Designs?

You can dowload it here, and it comes sized to print four to a page...perfect for card fronts! How gorgeous is the hand-lettered font?!?

I used the We're All In This Together download for a tag to go with a mask (made by my mother...isn't it pretty?). I die cut one of the panels that I printed on Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, inked in It's A Girl Ink, with the Fitted Frame Dies, and other from a clean sheet of White Cardstock, inked with Sauna. I tied the two together with some ribbon for an easy tag.

This is such a thoughtful sentiment to add to a card to give to a friend or an essential worker!

Spellbinders Whimsical and Wild

I had the great pleasure to play with some products from the Whimsical and Wild by Jane Davenport Collection from Spellbinders! Fantastically dreamy line of stamps illustrated by the ever-so-talented artist, Jane Davenport. They are magical and a ton of fun to create with!

My first card features the Fairytale Fox Clear Stamp Set, and ironically, I chose to focus on the beautiful dancing ballerina! I love the movement in this stamp and chose to use Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to make her come to life.

So easy to color loosely and freely, as this is what the image was made for! I finished the card with a fun hand drawn sentiment from the same set and bordered the image with two patterns of paper.

Doesn't the main image from the Elephant Dream Stamp Set steal the show? Such an easy way to create a clean and simple card with such an amazing image. I stamped the elephant and ballerina onto Watercolor Paper in black ink and colored in loosely with Zig Markers. I added to the card some bold floral paper and contrasting graphic strip, and finished again with a hand drawn sentiment included in the stamp set.

  I know one talented dancing girl that will enjoy receiving these cards as a special surprise to give to her friends. If you have a dancer in your life, these two sets from Spellbinders Whimsical and Wild by Jane Davenport Collection will be your go-to. The collection offers a wide variety of different themes and images, too.
