Trust

"Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?  People can be so cold.  They'll hurt you and desert you. Well they'll take your soul if you let them.  Oh yeah, but don't you let them. You just call out my name and you know wherever I am  I'll come running to see you again... You've got a friend.
You've got a friend.  Ain't it good to know you've got a friend." ~from James Taylor

CAS-ual Fridays has a fun challenge that will run for two weeks. Use kraft and twine on your project! Often times I have in the back of my head that I need to trust in things beyond my control, lean on others in time of need, and that everything will be okay in due time. This lovely stamp set from Market Street Stamps, our fabulous sponsor this next two weeks at CAS-ual Fridays, so dutifully reminds me on one of my most favorite songs. I find myself humming the tune when times are a bit tough or I'm feeling a bit down.

I discovered a really neat look when working on coloring the pitcher with Copics: turn your paper on the backside! I then stamped the pitcher on a piece of acetate and pressed the acetate to my paper. The twine has been stitched into the panel and the panel tied with burlap string. I'm slightly obsessed with this particular clean and simple layout, I think it works for everything!

I hope that you will find some time over the holiday to participate over at CAS-ual Fridays. Check out the blog for details, rules, sponsorship information and to see the other great projects from the Girl Fridays!

I've got one more post coming on Saturday, but to those that will be busy, have a very happy holiday season!

Supplies:
Cardstock: (Kraft) PTI, (White) Office Max

Stamps: (Faith in You) Market Street Stamps
Ink: (Java) Momento, (Vintage Photo Distress) Ranger
Other: (Markers) Copic, (Twine), (Burlap String) May Arts
