First Communion

Skipping Stones Design has once again a fabulous sketch challenge! The blog has all the details of the challenge as well as inspiring projects for you to see, please stop by!

This week I chose to work with the butterfly image from Victorian Summer and stamped it onto canvas and did a bit of coloring with marker, the sentiment is from Heartsong 2. The background is patterned paper and then a burlap string bow was the only other element I added.

I gathered color inspiration from my favorite color challenge, The Play Date Cafe.

I have a blogging pal that says I shouldn't apologize for not visiting all your wonderful creations, but I just can't help but to feel bad when I miss almost a whole week! I took a bit of a blogging break, all with good reason... I was celebrating the First Communion of this handsome little man.

I replied to a comment you made on my blog, but now I realize replies don't forward back to the commentor. I lived in WI Rapids since age 10 and went to UWSP for my graduate degree.
