Golden

***I have a card featuring washi tape from the Artful Delight September Kit
in my first from today, please scroll down for a look-see!***

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's September Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Julie Ranae's blog, or you can start at the beginning over at The Craft's Meow!

The in-laws are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next year, and "the kids" are already in full planning mode. We have to proceed with caution though, as they are not the big party type people however we want their day to be extra special. Any suggestions?

The Craft's Meow

One thing that I absolutely love about The Craft's Meow stamps are their versatility and ability to be combined, even when designed by two different designers! Today my card features pattern elements from Elizabeta's Lovely Oval Set and the sentiment is from my set, Golden Days. (Did you know that Golden Day's is September's Gift with a $50 purchase so you can stock up on your favorite sets...)

I stamped the scallop pattern directly onto the card base and then embossed it, as well as onto a piece of gold tissue paper which was then fussy cut. I embossed another of the patterns included in Lovely Ovals and trimmed it out. To finish the card, I embossed two sentiments, the larger one from Golden Days directly onto the card base as well, and the Anniversary from Lovely Ovals onto a trimmed piece of cardstock. This was attached with a pin that has a been tied with a bow. Speaking of embossing, I'm going to link this up to Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Embossing!

So glad that you stopped by today to help celebrate this month's release! You can be eligible to win all six new sets from The Craft's Meow by visiting and making a unique comment on each design team member's blog. The deadline to comment is 9:00 pm PDT, on Sunday, September 23rd.

Your next stop on the hop is Lindsay Amrhein!

  3. This is beautiful!! I'm sure they'll love this beauty :) Good luck coming up with a plan - it's hard to decide what to do if they're not party people.. I keep thinking a cruise would be perfect for a couple celebrating that many years together. Expensive though!

  18. So were you two in cahoots when designing - all part of your plan for the upcoming 50th??? Wonderful card. Your set too - again I love the fonts. For my parents 60th we all went away for a weekend - to downtown Detroit, their old stomping grounds. They were skeptical at first but loved it. Low key, but wonderful family time.

  29. Great card and I think a family getaway weekend would fit the occasion for the upcoming anniversary and maybe a family portrait would be great as a memento gift instead of a party.

  34. 50 years is amazing!! A perfect card to match the occasion. Wedding anniversaries are hard to plan for - but the best ones I've been to have been full of little personal details and remembering memories - all stuff that I'm sure you're considering anyway. Good luck with the planning ( it'll give you a great excuse to do some papercrafting!!).

  38. Beautiful anniversary card, just love it! If your parents aren't into "parties"--do they like picnics? Or how about everyone meet at a resort or lodge and spend a weekend together? My parents just celebrated 62 years, they like parties and we had a huge one for their 50th, but other years we've done the picnic and also all met at someone's home.

  44. I do like simple cards like yours, especially for adults. It seems to make the card more about making something special for those who receive it and less about using as many embellishments as possible.
