Almost Vintage Blooms

The Carolina Panthers play in a few hours, so I am took a few minutes (or thirty) to create a card and then I need to clean, clean, clean. I won't be attending any parties, as I think I might be the only Panther fan in Wisconsin!

I took advantage of today's Papertrey Ink Challenge for their anniversary: "grab and craft" and create something. I knew I wanted to color again today, for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge (no techniques shown today, but a lot of cool cards and projects), so here are the supplies I grabbed:
1. White Paper
2. In Blooms Stamp Set (out from my previous card here) and a retired PTI set, Botanical Silhouettes for the sentiment.
3. Ink and Copics
4. Patterned Paper
5. Pearls (old school, I know, but I have a TON of them that need to be used up!)

I chose to stamp the  array of blooms based on the sketch at Fusion Challenge: Paper Hearts.

After stamping the blooms, leaves and sentiment, I colored the blooms and leaves with the Warm Gray Copic, then adding blush, pink and mauve colors as well as ivory and yellow colors for the leaves. I outlined all the images with the blush color, then attached the pearls. The panel was adhered to a patterned paper piece and all affixed to a white card base.

So it is a kind of vintage look, but really clean ant the same time with the stark white. I really like it!

  1. I assume you are currently watching the Panthers. I can hear it in the background as I write this comment. I am not a football fan and my son and husband only watch a few games a year. I, on the other hand, am spending time visiting blogs. When I saw your card pop up, I had to investigate and see how you created this beautiful card. I love your color combination and the clean vintage look is so eye catching.
