I went a fun and cute direction, instead of my normal inclination to use florals.
My card started with a base of peach cardstock. I then created my own chalkboard sign using the ChalkBoard Frame Dies and green cardstock. I white heat embossed a sentiment using the Happy Birthday Many Ways stamp set. I did keep the embossing a bit messy, to mimic how messy a chalkboard is.
I then die cut the cat and the party hat using Peeking Pets Die Cuts and stamped using the corresponding Peeking Pets stamp set. I colored the cat and the hat in with Copics. To represent the paws that are holding the sign, I stamped and trimmed off the headband on the headband stamp from the same set.
The card is clean and simple, but is great for a masculine or children's card.
