The prettiest sight in my "crafty closet" (due to space, I have a table and some shelves set up in my son's room...his closet, actually!) in my Catherine Pooler Designs ink all lined up on their shelf arranged by colors. Today's card features the three new, saturated colors!
I started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock-which really is the best cardstock for ink blending, in my opinion! Onto it, I ink blended a few "loose circles" in Minted, Oh Boy, Sixteen Candles, overlapping each color just slightly. I then splattered some black ink...love the little detail this adds!
I then stamped in Midnight Ink a dragonfly from the Flight of the Dragonfly Stamp Set and die cut a frame from the corresponding Flight of the Dragonfly Dies. The wings I colored with the new inks as well, using a Dove Ink Blender, and then I covered them with a shimmer pen for some sparkle. I adhered the dragonfly to the card base by the body only of the dragonfly, and so that the wings are slightly lifted. I finished the card by stamping a sentiment, also from Flight of the Dragonfly.
