Perfect Blend

Hello! I hope you are enjoying the weekend, I know I am. I got in some crafting time and some time outside working on my flower beds and vegetable garden...two of my favorite things! Today will be spent inside cleaning, but, that's ok because it is raining here in Central Wisconsin.

I created a card for the 2020 Spring|Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. This team always puts on a fabulous hop. I wanted to create something light and fresh for the hop. I started with some old light green cardstock, that was stamped with Catherine Pooler Designs BFF Background Stamp in Melon Ice Ink. I then die cut a mug from the Perfect Blend Dies and inked it lightly with Sugared Lavender Ink, decorating it with some stamps from Hello Friend Floral (retired). I also stamped some foliage from Hello Friend Floral as well, making an arrangement on the front of the card. I finished with a sentiment strip stamped with a sentiment from the Mountain of Thanks Stamp Set.

After cleaning today, I'm ready to enjoy the holiday tomorrow!

Flowing Blooms

I've been catching Catherine's You Tube Videos and Facebook Live Replays after work lately, and have been inspired by her use of the Big Thanks Stamp Set and the blooms in both Wings of Joy Dies and the cute standalone die set, Layer Blooms Die Set. These were products were part of the Flutters and Blooms Release from Catherine Pooler Designs, along with the patterned paper I used in my card as well, Flutters & Blooms Patterned Paper.

As usual, I started my card with a base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, then I die cut some of the blooms and foliage from Wings of Joy Dies  and  Layer Blooms Die Set -perfect companions! I covered the die cuts with the following ink combinations: Sangria, Pink Champagne, Sage, Royal Treatment and Shea Butter. These were arranged and adhered to the top of the card, along with a few patterned paper strips from Flutters & Blooms Patterned Paper.

 I finished the card with a large sentiment from the Big Thanks Stamp Set stamped in Spruce Ink. I love the simplicity of this card, and the flowing arrangement of the blooms across the card front. Another card to provide to teachers during this tough time!

Totally, Totally Grateful

Thank you cards have been in short supply lately, so I needed to replenish my stash! I was inspired by both the MFT Sketch Challenge 488 and MFT Color Challenge 140 and the fun seagulls from My Favorite Things, Seaside Seagulls (now retired.)

I started with a card base made with SnoCone cardstock, then added some ocean waves with Blu-Raspberry and the Ocean Waves Die-Namics. For one of the main circles in the sketch, I used the Thank You Circle Frame Die-Namics and added the seagull and some clouds from Seaside Seagulls. To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from More Essential Sentiments.

Looking forward to the days when my boys and I can travel again, one of our first destinations will be to see the Atlantic Ocean again!

Many Thanks in a Row

Teacher Appreciation Week still going strong in my household! The teachers in our small district have really gone above and beyond to make distance learning not only feasible, but rewarding for my children. I have many thanks for them! 

Many thanks indeed, as I've used in the above card featuring some items from the Flutters and Blooms Release that is available from Catherine Pooler Designs. This card features the Happy Thanks Dies. I started with multiple die cuts of the Thanks from the Happy Thanks Dies cut out of Ultra Smooth White Cardstock and made my own colored paper by covering each die cut in the following inks, starting from the first Thanks: Pink Champagne, Rose Petals, Royal Treatment and Midnight.

I added the lovely sentiment from the Big Thanks Stamp Set and a die cut heart covered in Pink Champagne as well. To finish the card, I added a strip of Pink Champagne and the versatile Black Tie Gala Patterned Paper.

Big Butterfly Thanks

I spent some time yesterday working in my flower beds, the other hobby I have! I will soon enjoy (I hope!) the gift of watching butterflies fly about enjoying the flowers too. I have another card made with the Flutters and Blooms Release that is available from Catherine Pooler Designs. I just adore this large butterfly that is part of the Flutters Bundle- and how cool is it that you can use just the Wings of Joy Dies on their own?!

To create this card, adhered strips from the Flutters & Blooms Patterned Paper onto a scrap piece of paper and used the large butterfly die cut from Wings of Joy Dies to die cut the large focal point butterfly. I then created a frame from the previously released Chalkboard Frame Dies from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock (love the subtle woodgrain texture...this die set is so versatile!) and covered it with Stone Blue Ink.

To finish the card, I stamped the word "big" from the Big Thanks Stamp Set in  Stone Blue Ink and then added a stacked die cut "thanks" from the new Happy Thanks Die Set. This die set has to be one of my favorites from the Flutters and Blooms Release because 1. you get two main sentiments in one die and 2. the dies are the perfect size and 3. you can mix and match the die words to match so many sentiment stamp sets!
