Stardust Bird & Parents Night

I've been taking some time away from my crafting to enjoy my son's football season. Last season was cut short due from the pandemic, but this year it's back and so fun to watch him play and grow as a player! Last night was Parents Night. It is a tradition for the mothers to wear the players jerseys. I love my # 56!

Back to the card. I created the sweet bird using the Bird Layering Stencil Set from Erin Lee Creative. I used Concord & 9ths Stardust Ink to create the body and then added details with black ink. I then used the corresponding Bird Die Set to cut out the bird and splattered it with black ink. I then created some blue panels with Catherine Pooler Stone Blue Ink using the direct to paper technique and then stamped the Sketched Floral Background Stamp from (not currently available but also from Erin Lee Creative) for a tone on tone look. The bird and panels were adhered to a card base at an angle and I finished the card with a stamped a retired sentiment from a set from the Look on the Bright Side Kit from ELC.

  1. Wonderful card, Karen but that cute pic of you and your son steals the spotlight!
