I don't often make cards for Halloween, but I just HAD to make this card! I got the idea while watching a commercial on TV during some relaxation time, and had to create it right away.
For this reveal card, I started by die cutting some eyes from Catherine Pooler Design's Who's There Coverplate Die and then clear heat embossed a spider web from the Spiderweb Background Stamp. Before adhering it to a white card base, I brushed on some Halloween colors where the eyes were and created a "well" with paper to fit the reveal panel.
The reveal panel was die cut on top with the Picture Frame Dies to create a pull mechanism, and was stamped in Midnight with the Going Batty Background Stamp. When you pull the mechanism up, the black reveals colors for the eyes. The panel was white heat embossed stamped with a "Boo"greeting from the Everything but the Broom Stamp Set.
This was a pretty simple, and I think effective, interactive Halloween card! My boys are too old for trick-or-treating, but I look forward to handing out candy. I have a reel up on my Instragram page showing the reveal of the eyes for this card.
