Hot Dog!

I had a request from a co-worker for some birthday cards for her to share, and there is no better excuse to pull out these cute doxies from Doxie Birthday Party from Catherine Pooler Designs and create! 

Let's start with the card base. Onto an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, I stamped the Painted Stripes Background Stamp twice, first in Oh Boy and then Minted. Onto a card panel, I stamped the cut pups from the Doxie Birthday Party Stamp Set three times in Minted, Oh Boy, Sixteen Candles. Then I overstamped in clear ink and heat embossed some clear glitter embossing powder another pup from set. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Doxie Birthday Party and adorned one of the doxies with a fun birthday hat.

I stretched myself a bit on this card, I like how the heat embossing created some texture onto the solid stamps. Have you stretched your creativity lately?
