Lights on Broadway Thanks

 Catherine Pooler Designs has a new collection releasing today at noon to StampNation members and tomorrow, Wednesday, December 7th for General Ordering at 9am ET. The Cheers to New Year's Collection is absolutely perfect for Thank You cards for all the gifts and hosts over the holiday and to celebrate the new year! This release also has the much anticipated Luxe Mini Ink Pads!

I was able to work with the beautiful Thank You Kindly Bundle which is comprised of the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set, Thank You Kindly Dies, Corner Swag Floral Stamp Set, Corner Swag Dies, Bee Thankful Patterned Paper Pack, and Saint Lucia Sequins Mix. And I got to choose an item from the Cheers Extra Bundle too! The Lights on Broadway Coverplate Die is such a cool design-I have a card today featuring this.

The Lights on Broadway Coverplate Die is perfect for stitching, that was my original thought when I saw it. I die cut it from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock and chose one of the many patterns to stitch with some orange wax thread. I mounted it onto a card base, and then added an ombre soaked Thanks.

A simple card that packs quite a punch. There are many patterns that can be stitched using this die, and it also makes for quite the background statement with no stitching too!

 Catherine Pooler Designs has a new collection releasing tomorrow at noon to StampNation members and Wednesday, December 7th for General Ordering at 9am ET. The Cheers to New Year's Collection is absolutely perfect for Thank You cards for all the gifts and hosts over the holiday and to celebrate the new year! I was able to work with the beautiful Thank You Kindly Bundle which is comprised of the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set, Thank You Kindly Dies, Corner Swag Floral Stamp Set, Corner Swag Dies, Bee Thankful Patterned Paper Pack, and Saint Lucia Sequins Mix.

I stamped the larger of the corner stamps and some of the single images from the Corner Swag Floral Stamp Set in Juniper Mist Ink onto Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, I die cut them with the corresponding Corner Swag Dies and colored with Copic markers.

The corner image was adhered to a die cut panel from the Bee Thankful Patterned Paper Pack with the Scallop & Dots Dies, and a circle from the the Double Duty Circle Dies. I finished the card with a stamped sentiment from the Corner Swag Floral Stamp Set.

Poppies

I'm a day late sharing this card inspired by Veterans' Day. I stamped the poppy image from Catherine Pooler Designs Grace in Bloom Stamp Set in Sand Castle Ink onto Ultra White Smooth cardstock and colored with Copic Markers using the no-line coloring technique. I then stamped a sentiment from Honey Bee Designs in S'mores Ink and then shaded the panel with Buttercream Ink using brushes.

I swiped Buttercream Ink onto a card base and then stamped a stripe with the Wonky Stripe Background Stamp.

MFT 2022 Superstar Contest Clean & Simple Genius Entry

I look forward to the MFT Superstar Card Contest every year, especially the CAS card category!

This is my entry for the 2022 MFT Card Design Superstar Clean & Simple Genius category.

I absolutely adore the Squirrel! Stamp Set from MFT, especially this cute squirrel image and sentiment. I am especially bad about sending birthday wishes and cards on time!

I masked a portion of the sentiment from Squirrel! off and stamped onto a MFT Lazy Day card base. I then stamped the squirrel image and acorn, and colored them with Prismacolor pencils.

I purposefully had the card focus be on the top and to the left, with a lit of "white" space on the right and bottom. I also used the "Rule of Three" using two images and one sentiment.

Such a great way to spend a rainy Saturday morning!

MFT Superstar 2022 Coloring Virtuoso Entry

It's a rainy day in Central Wisconsin...the perfect opportunity to spend the morning creating for the
2022 Card Design MFT Superstar Contest.

This is my entry for the Coloring Virtuoso. I had so much fun planning out a scene. I used the following stamp sets: You Gnome Me, Happy Hedgehogs and Ewe Are the Best.

Lots of masking at first, then stamping in a light blue ink onto MFT Blue Breeze card base. I colored the images with PrismaColor pencils, a black wax crayon and white paint pen.

It was truly fun to color! The look I was going for was between cartoon and storybook. I like working with Prismacolors because they are waxing and very blendable. I have a heavy hand when it comes to coloring so this style is my favorite.
