LID:: June 2018 Release:: Day 3

Today is the last day of the Lil' Inker Designs Juen 2018 Release Showcase... I hope you've enjoyed seeing all this release offers! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

Babies are such gifts, and it is always tons of fun to pull out pastels and work with them! There are a few products from this release that are geared towards these precious gifts we call babies, Baby Onesie Shaker Die, Baby Word Tags Dies, and Little One Stamp Set.

I created a onesie shaker with the  Baby Onesie Shaker Die, so super easy! (PS-save the inside die cut...it has a score line created in the design so you can fold it over and it becomes a diaper!). I then die cut some large sentiment words from the Baby Word Tags Dies- I simply cut off the tags. And then I finished the card with an adorable stamped sentiment from Little One Stamp Set.

My last card for this release features an everyday thanks message and large, detailed flowers, made from the Perky Posies XL Dies.

I started the card with a white card base that has been embossed with the classic Quilted Stitched Pattern Cover Up Die. It provided the perfect background for the large flowers die cut from colorful paper and the Perky Posies XL Dies. I added some Nuvo Drops and a die cut sentiment from the Thanks Word Die.

Here's a look at the new release products showcased in my two projects today:

It is with pleasure that I get to send you to the talented Kimberly Rendino, as the next stop along the hop. I hope you get a chance to visit the Lil' Inker Designs Store now as products are already up at the store!!

LID:: June 2018 Release:: Day 2

Today is the second of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs June 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented  Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

What's not to love about a crowd of smiley cats giving gifts?? Such a cute combo the Cat Hugs Stamp Set and Cat Hugs Die Set are! There are so many ways to decorate these kitties, but I chose to black heat emboss on kraft paper and added a bit of detail with Copic Markers (cheeks) and white gel pen. I then stamped, heat embossed, and Copic colored some of the accessories in this set. The die lets you cut out the top of the heads, and then you can also choose to cut out the individual hands as well, as I've done here. I finished the card by mounting the kitties onto some blue cardstock and stamped and heat embossed a sentiment, also from the Cat Hugs Stamp Set.

This next card was super fun to create as well, and it quite possibly is due to the cuteness of the Super Coffee Die and Stamp Bundle. I started this card by stamping, coloring and die cutting the super hero coffee mug. I added the smiley face stamp as well, and then some eyeballs created from Nuvo Drops.

The next step was to stamp the sentiment included in the Super Coffee Die and Stamp Bundle. I die cut the panel from Stitched Mats: Long and Skinny Rectangles. I also die cut from bright yellow cardstock some bright rays from the Wrappers Delight: Sunburst Die. All of the elements were adhered to a bright blue card base.

LID:: June 2018 Release:: Day 1

Today is the first of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs June 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies. This release from Lil' Inker Designs is chock full of cute items, perfect for coffee lovers, summer and beyond! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first card features a few of the new items! I started with a kraft card base and then added a white die cut from the new Cover Up Die: Perfectly Plaid. This die is sooooo cool. I used it in the most simple manner today, but you can cut it from multiple colors and layer it by turning it upside down, flipping it over, etc. You can create many plaid looks, I'll have more examples to show you after the release.

To finish the card, I create a steaming paper mug of coffee with the Coffee Talk 2 Die Set, embellished with the perfect sentiment that was stamped and heat embossed with the new. large and perfectly awesome Coffee Talk 2 Stamp Set. A little inked edges and Copic colored details make the mug and spoon pop off the card.

I was really liking the color combination used in the above card, so I created a complimentary gift card holder using the new, fun To Go Coffee Cup Gift Holder Die Set using the same combination. This gift holder is so cool, it can be made in three swipes of a die cut machine: I used white cardstock for the lid (Copic colored detailing), Kraft for the base (inked edges) and coral for the mug sleeve. The sentiment was stamped in black, using the Coffee Talk 2 Stamp Set.

The Wild and Wonderful Collection also features two red rubber background stamps- Kaleidoscope and BFF, along with beautiful photopolymer stamps and Dies- Note of ThanksWonderful Wildflowers Stamps and Wonderful Wildflower DiesFocus on the Good Floral Stamps and Focus on the Good Floral Dies and the beautiful Scroll Butterfly Die and In Flight Butterfly Die

I've got a few projects to showcase today for the last day of the blog hop-although all items are now available!

My first card features the beautiful and all too fun Wonderful Wildflowers Stamps and Wonderful Wildflower DiesI stamped the solid images in the set onto Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, die cut them, and arranged them onto a pale blue cardstock base. I finished with a sentiment strip stamped with Note of Thanks and a few black Nuvo Drops. I used the following ink combinations for my flowers and leaves:
Orange= Tiki Torch, Orange Twist
Yellow= Limoncello, Sauna
Pink= Be Mine, Party Dress

My next card, I feel, is so grand and quite the showstopper when delivered by hand due to the 3-D nature! I started again with the amazing Ultra Smooth White Cardstock as a card base and then also cut a panel. Onto the panel, I inked a soft layer of It's a Girl Ink, and onto top of the panel I stamped the beautiful pattern from Kaleidoscope with Sauna Ink and stamped a sentiment from Note of ThanksFrom this stamped panel, I die cut In Flight Butterfly Die, and then I die cut another butterfly and inked it up with Limoncello.

I then inked some paper with Sauna Ink and die cut the Scroll Butterfly Die These were adhered to the card at the body of the butterfly and the wings lifted for a nice 3D effect.

One last card today for you! I started this one by inking an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock panel with Grape CrushSweet Sixteen and Royal Treatment Ink. Then I watered the BFF Background Stamp with water, and pressed it onto the purple panel. This created a soft pattern onto the panel. I adhered this to a white card base, along with a strip of Limoncello colored paper. I added detail and a sentiment on the card using Note of ThanksFocus on the Good Floral Stamps and Focus on the Good Floral Dies. The background color is Limoncello  and the details stamped in Tiki Torch-what a great, bright and happy combination!

Please be sure to hop and comment, as there are prizes! 5 random winners chosen to receive two free ink pads (and free shipping!)  Winners will be announced on Catherine's blog, Friday, May 25.

Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge:: Florals

The May Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge #21: Florals is here and we would like for you to be inspired by Florals! There's so many awesome floral items from Concord & 9th that will work for this Challenge and we can't wait to see how you were inspired, as this challenge is dedicated to the innovative stamp company and their products!

I started my card with a watercolor panel and used my most loved Concord & 9th Wildflower Stamp Set. I used the back of the zinnia flower stamps to create colorful areas and then spritzed the panel with water and let the colors mingle. After that dried, I splattered the panel with pink ink and then used the fronts of the stamps to add the flower image.

I then added some greenery using shades of kraft ink. I finished the card with a sentiment from Many Mandalas, adhered the panel to a kraft card base and tied a burlap string bow on top.

The challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Concord & 9th and one lucky random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree. The favorite entry will be asked to guest design for a future challenge! Catherine Pooler:: Faithful Fluttering Spinner

They have arrived! Catherine Pooler Designs has introduced Faithful Fluttering Dies (affiliate links used) to coordinate with the previously released, beautiful Faithful Fluttering Stamp Set.

I created a spinner card, one that even impressed my boys!

I stamped the butterfly two separate times with Bellini, Polished, and Mandarin Spice and Midnight Inks, and then die cut each. I sandwiched a string in between before adhering them back to back.

On the front of a card panel, I die cut a circle and frame, and then affixed the string in between. I stamped a sentiment from Faithful Fluttering Stamp Set. Before putting the card in the envelope, I twisted the string, so once the recipient opens the card completely, the butterfly spins!

Chomper

An alligator chomping on a birthday cake...too cute! Reverse Confetti is hosting their last Sketch For You To Try and I knew I needed to play along.

I stamped and colored Later Alligator and adhered him to a panel with an action wobbler. The clouds and patterned paper are MFT.
