Flurry of Fun

One of the cool things about living in an area where there is snow for a few months is being able to spend the weekends outside enjoying all types of activities. Especially when one has boys! When my boys were younger, there were many days spent fort building, snowman making and yes, there were even some snowball fights! These two little snowmen remind me of my boys...

I started by creating a cute little scene with the Build A Snowman Stamp SetBuild A Snowman Accessory Dies from the Retro Winter Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs, using a few of the newest ink colors released...Sangria Scarves, Hot Tub Snow, and Orange Peel and Pink Champagne Hats.

I finished off the card with the Polar Edge Die die cut and covered in Hot Tub Ink. I cut two pieces, using one for the landscape and the second for falling snow in the sky.

Although I'm not really ready to drive in the snow, I am ready to see my children enjoy it. They still do, even as teenagers!

I hope you've had a chance to check out and play with some of the goodies from this release. The Catherine Pooler supplies I've used are linked (affiliate links used at no cost to you, I sure appreciate your support!)

A Birthday Bear

This adorable lil' bear is all set to wish someone a happy birthday! I stamped and die cut the bear, balloons, presents and banner, along with the sentiments from the Happy Buddies stamp set and matching Happy Buddies Dies from Catherine Pooler. Such an easy card to create with no patterned paper! I gave all the elements my own touch by adding some black doodling to each of the elements, such as the eyes and ears on the bear, the balloon strings and light spot, and bows on the presents! I love how the ink plays such an integral part of this card with just simple outline stamping.

These products are available with the Retro Winter Release, the latest stamp and die release from Catherine Pooler. Catherine and team just released some new Canvo Colors and Canvo stamps for bullet journaling as well, have you seen them??  The Catherine Pooler supplies I've used are linked (affiliate links used at no cost to you, I sure appreciate your support!) in the body of my post, I hope you have a chance to check them out!

Well Hey There!

Can't you just hear Catherine from Catherine Pooler Designs say this out loud? Her lives on Facebook and Youtube videos are always such a pleasure to watch. Catherine and Erika have so much fun, I want to leap through the screen and join them!

I created this card with two items released from the Retro Winter Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs. I first stamped a background in Orange Peel and Sauna Inks onto Ultra Smooth White Cardstock using the fabulous, versatile Frosted Blossoms Stamp Set. I did some inlay die cutting for the focal sentiment with the Well Hey There Hexagon Die inked up in Sangria Ink to finish up the card. One of the many fabulous qualities of Catherine Pooler Inks is there complete coverage, so making custom colored cardstock is a breeze!

So easy, right? I can imagine this design in so many different color combinations, and possibly a few different focal sentiments as well. It would make a great card set.

The Retro Winter Collection is so much fun, and perfect for the holiday season and winter months, as well as all year round as I've showcased today.

In the Meadow

"Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? In the lane, snow is glistening A beautiful sight
We're happy tonight, Walking in a winter wonderland...
Gone away is the bluebird, Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song, As we go along, Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman, We'll pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say, Are you married? We'll say, No man
But you can do the job while you're in town..."

I absolutely adore the Build A Snowman Stamp Set and coordinating Build A Snowman Accessory Dies from the Retro Winter Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs, along with the four new ink colors that complete the Oasis Spa Collection. (You can order individual products, bundles, or order it all!)

I started this simple card by stenciling some Hot Tub Ink onto Ultra Smooth White Cardstock with the new Pop Art Stencil, then stamped a few snowflakes from Build A Snowman. I then created a focal panel with the Postage Stamp Dies, and stamped one of the large sentiment from Build A Snowman, as well as creating the illusion of a snowman with the some accessory snowman stamps from  Build A Snowman and Build A Snowman Accessory Dies. I used Sangria (bow), Orange Peel (nose) and Twilight (hat). Twilight is the perfect neutral for these colors!

This whole release is so much fun, and perfect for the holiday season and winter months.

Happy Buddies

Have you seen the cute critters released with the Retro Winter Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs?! They are all ready for winter, or any time of the year. Happy Buddies includes four critters, and are part of the Snow Buddies Bundle, one of three bundles and four inks released with the Collection. Find the entire collection here

This card started with an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, and I overlaid the amazing Retro Star Coverplate for some added dimension and design. Then I stamped, die cut and colored the adorable penguins and deer from the Happy Buddies stamp set and matching Happy Buddies Dies. (I selectively removed the arms from the deer to coordinate with the penguin-love how you can customize these guys!) I colored them with a Blender Pen and ink, including Sangria for the cheeks and Orange Peel for the beaks. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Build a Snowman stamp set in Hot Tub Ink and coordinating Build A Snowman Accessory Dies.

This whole release is so much fun, and perfect for the holiday season and winter months.
