Celebrate with a Garden Gate

Catherine Pooler Designs has just released the coolest mix of products with the Bursts & Backgrounds Bundles Release and I have another card made with products from this release. I have to say, these Color Burst Powders were really fun to play with and really stretched me creatively!

I started my card by applying some Color Burst Powders in Mardi Gras and Suede Shoes onto Canson Watercolor Paper. After the background dried, I applied an overlay made from the beautiful Garden Gate Die. I finished the card with a strip of paper inked with Suede Shoes and a sentiment made from the Celebrate Die.

I finished the card by trimming the background panel and adding it to a card base from made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, the sentiment from the Three of a Kind Die and a bird from Happy Together, and a side strip from the Black Tie Gala Patterned Paper Pack. I really like how you can create so many backgrounds for cards and accentuate them with other items from your stash!

A Just Because Card

The new Color Burst Powders from Catherine Pooler Designs are a perfect way to the let background stamps like the Sandy Background Stamp shine! (Her partner in crime is the Rizzo Background Stamp...how fun is that??!) This card literally came together in under 10 minutes!

I started my card by applying some Color Burst Powders in Samba, Limoncello, and Limoncello Ice and Samba Ice Liquids onto Canson Watercolor Paper. After the background dried slightly, I stamped in Wow Embossing Ink the Sandy Background Stamp and used White Embossing Powder to heat emboss it. Then I added a bit of dimension within the design with a brush and some additional Color Burst Powders and water. The panel was trimmed down and adhered to a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. I finished with a sentiment strip that has a sentiment from Cottage Corsage stamped in Samba Ink.

These are part of Catherine Pooler Designs Bursts & Backgrounds Bundles Release which inlcudes a mix of background stamps and dies, stencils and Color Burst Powders, that match perfectly with some colors from the Carnivale Ink collection. (The Color Burst Powders are currently sold out, but they will be back in stock soon, and are available yet in the bundle pack!)

The entire release was so much fun to just sit and play with, to be able to enjoy the cards you can create with results that are unique each and every time. The Catherine Pooler supplies I've used are linked (affiliate links used at no cost to you, I sure appreciate your support!) in the body of my post, I hope you have a chance to check them out!

Catherine Pooler Designs :: Bursts & Backgrounds

Catherine Pooler Designs has just released the coolest mix of products with the Bursts & Backgrounds Bundles Release! There is a mix of background stamps and dies, stencils and Color Burst Powders, that match perfectly with some colors from the Carnivale Ink collection. Even if you aren't a mixed media artist-possibly a more clean and simple artist like me?, these products are still sure to please. I absolutely love them!

I started my card by applying some Color Burst Powders in Limencello and Mardi Gras onto Canson Watercolor Paper. After the background dried slightly, I laid down the new Bear Grass Stencil and applied a water mix made from a drop of the Mardi Gras ColorBurst Powder and water. So cool that you can also watercolor with these powders!

My second card features the amazing Samba Color Burst Powder and the matching Samba Ice Liquid, which adds a lovely shimmer and sparkle to the mix! I have also used a stencil that is special to me, the Polka Heart Stencil. The Polka Heart Stencil is perfect for Valantine's Day, but can be used for so many other occasions as well. You can even mask off the stencil to create halftone stripes or squares!

I created a background first with the Samba Color Burst Powder and the matching Samba Ice Liquid onto Canson Watercolor Paper and then after it dried, I applied Samba ink over it with the Polka Heart Stencil. I then did a bit of inlaid die cutting using the Love Word Die. I mounted the panel onto a cardbase of Ultra Smooth White Cardstock and then finished with some stamping and die cutting with the Bon Voyage Stamp Set and Bon Voyage Dies.

This whole release is so much fun to just sit and play with, to enjoy the cards you can create with results that are unique each and every time. The Catherine Pooler supplies I've used are linked (affiliate links used at no cost to you, I sure appreciate your support!) in the body of my post, I hope you have a chance to check them out!
Be sure to check back later this week, I will have more cards to share with this release!

Soft and Subtle

One of the most versatile stamp sets I have used in a long time is Catherine Pooler Designs Whimsical Blooms Stamp Set(affiliate links used) I've made so many cards with the set, and it is perfect for many occasions.

Once again I started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. I then added some detail to the base using the Flourish & Whimsey Stencil with Sauna Ink, Limencello and Polished Ink. I added a detail on the bottom with a cut-out from the Fitted Frames Dies and Whimsical Blooms Patterned Paper.

The spotlight comes from stamped images Whimsical Blooms Stamp Set and the corresponding dies. I finished this card with a sentiment from the Whimsical Blooms Stamp Set and few sequins from the new Phoenix Sequins Mix.

Hope Anchors the Soul

Sometimes life makes twists and turns and takes it own sweet time to right itself again.  Every so often, I find myself needing to send a Thinking of You card to someone who might be in the middle of a twist or turn. (Or, I should send one to myself!)

My card today features items from Catherine Pooler's Unsinkable Collection, from the Refuse to Sink Stamp Set and Hook, Line and Sinker Stamp Set. I created it by all stamping on Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, no dies were used! I stamped images in a mixture of Eucalyptus, Juniper Mist, It's a Boy, Midnight and Daydream Inks-arranging them in a wreath format. The panel was mounted on an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock base.

Ship's Wheel

I'm back with another card featuring the Unsinkable Collection from Catherine Pooler that was released earlier this week. There were so many great products released that I didn't get to showcase them all in my Blog Hop Release Post.

The Ship's Wheel Die is a stunner on a card. Do you see the detail that the die embosses? It's amazing! I die cut the Ship's Wheel from Midnight Cardstock and then mounted that onto a card made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. I added a panel from one of my favorite panels from the Salt and Seeweed Patterned Paper Pack. I then added a sentiment with the Hello Die and finished with some jute twine.
