Catherine Pooler Designs:: July Unsinkable Release

Are you ready for Catherine Pooler Designs newest release, the Unsinkable Collection? It's available today! I don't live any where close to an ocean , but I seriously loved working with this collection and it has become one of my favorites for it's versatility!

As usual, there is a fabulous blog hop with the design team and guests for the release.

I'm starting off with my favorite card made from some of the many products in this release. My card base is the made from the awesome Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, which is the perfect cardstock for bases as well as die cuts, coloring, well, pretty much anything! I added a panel from Midnight Cardstock that has been embossed with the wave stamp from the Hook, Line and Sinker Stamp Set using the quality Wow Embossing Pad and Clear Embossing Powder. I then die cut an anchor, rope and from Refuse to Sink Die Set, stamping the rope with the Refuse to Sink Stamp Set and coloring the anchor with alcohol inks. This anchor is seriously theeee perfect size!

My second card starts with a card base made from Sand Dunes Cardstock. I inked a mixture of Suede Shoes, All that Jazz, and Fiesta Blue Inks over the absolutely beautiful new, Shell Parade Stencil. I then stamped and die cut the cute crabs (I think it is my most favorite single stamp of the entire release! Look how cute they are!!) from the Hook, Line and Sinker Stamp Set and Dies.

I finished the card with a stamped sentiment from Hook, Line and Sinker and then added a die cut word from the Hello Die. So awesome that the stamps from this release work so well with so many word dies previously released!

Please be sure to hop and comment, as there are prizes! One winner will be chosen to receive a $25 gift certificate to the Catherine Pooler Store! Winners will be announced on Catherine's blog on Announced Monday evening, August, 12th.

My first card features the Build a Home Bundle. Laura has the best explanation of this set: It contains adorable images that can be stamped and colored to make the cutest little houses. We've given you accessories to create your house in lots of different ways including different doors and windows and even some outside accessories like trees, clouds and a mailbox. Of course, we've also designed a set of coordinating dies so that you can cut out your images with ease and precision. The "door dies" included will allow you to cut around your door partially so that they swing open!I love creating a little scene with this set, using a soft blend of inks to color each image and then detailing with Copic Markers. I added a sentiment from the New House & Home bundle, I love how these two bundles work so well together!

Next, I am featuring the New House & Home bundle. Laura again has an awesome explanation: it contains a 4x4 set of 10 clear, photopolymer stamps with lovely sentiments all related to the importance and significance of home. There is also a large home word stamp and one small home image to color. This set also comes with a home word die which can be used together with the stamps to complete the phrases. This is a wonderful set for someone who has just purchased a new home or has moved into a new place and more!

I created a cute little background with some images in the set and finished with a sentiment. This card was so easy to create!

Please visit Lil' Inker Designs to take advantage of this offer while supplies last! Items purchased in our Clearance section, which is quite large right now, do count towards your order value for this offer!

National Ice Cream Day! Ellen Hutson and Catherine Pooler Designs Hop

It's National Ice Cream Day and Ellen Hutson and Catherine Pooler Designs are teaming up with a sweet hop to highlight the day with their fabulous sets!

Everyone on the hop today is featuring Catherine Poolers's cute I Scream You Scream Stamp Set and Ellen Hutson's Leading Ladies - Little Gentelman and Leading Ladies- Little Lady stamp sets. For this first card, I am featuring both of these cutie pies (colored with Copics) saluting to their ice cream treats!

The background was created by ink blending Grass Skirt Ink and splattered with the same ink as well. I finished the card by adding border from Bordering Sweet Borders Die and a sentiment from Amazing Florals paired with the Sweet Die.

This next card features the same products...This time I created a background with the awesome ice cream truck from I Scream You Scream and then customized the little lady with colored pencils and a white gel pen.

I colored all images featured on these cards while waiting for my son to finish baseball practice! Summer is such a busy time, but I try to get in some crafting on the go whenever I can, which often means at the ballpark!

I prestamp my images and then load them onto a standard clipboard. I have carrying cases for both my copics and colored pencils, as well as my zig markers, so I pretty much grab the medium I am working with and carry-on! I hope that you get some crafty time in this summer, even if it means you are on the go when you do so!
