LID:: July 2018 Release:: Day 3

It's the last day of the Lil' Inker Designs July 2018 Release Showcase Hop... sad to see it come to an end but I hope you got lots of inspiration for these new goodies! This release from Lil' Inker Designs is as cute and fun as can be. If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

I just have a single card to showcase today, featuring the adorable Animal Doctor Stamps and the coordinating Animal Doctor Dies. Since I knew my fabulously talented teamates would be featuring the cute critters from this set, I decided to make a card focusing on the smaller stamps. I randomly stamped them onto an inked background, did some choice coloring and adhered the panel to a card base. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Animal Doctor Stamps and two highlighted images die cut from the Animal Doctor Dies.

Here's a look at the new release products showcased in my project today:

It is with pleasure that I get to send you to the talented Kimberly Rendino, as the next stop along the hop. I hope you get a chance to visit the Lil' Inker Designs Store now as products are already up at the store!!

Don't forget to leave a unique comment along the each of the stops on the hop! You can win the ENTIRE release by leaving unique comments on each of the stops along the hop each day!

LID:: July 2018 Release:: Day 2

Welcome back to the second day of the Lil' Inker Designs July 2018 Release Showcase... hasn't the hop been a lot of fun and lots of inspiration featuring new stamps and dies. This release from Lil' Inker Designs is as cute and fun as can be. If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

I have three cards to showcase today that feature the ever so adorable Scooter Balloons Stamps and coordinating Scooter Balloons Dies. For my first card, I started with a red card base, and stamped one of the sentiments included in the Scooter Balloons Stamps down the left side. I then stamped and copic colored one of the scooters with balloons, die cut it, and then finished the card with a sentiment strip in white.

These little scooters are very popular in my town during the summer, we've got red ones, blue ones and even some yellow ones!

For this next card, I started with a light blue card base and embossed the front with the newly released and beautiful Quilted Stitched So Stylish Cover Up Die. I adhered another scooter and sentiment strip to finish off the card.

These balloons were covered with glossy accents and I adhered a clear crystal for the headlight. So many possibilities to dress up these lil' scooters!

And for this card, I also embossed the magenta card front with the Quilted Stitched So Stylish Cover Up Die, adhered a cute scooter and sentiment, this time at an angle.

LID:: July 2018 Release:: Day 1

Today is the first of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs July 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies. This release from Lil' Inker Designs is as cute and fun as can be. If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first card features a couple of the new items. I started with a pink card base and used the Perfect Palette Cover Up Die (affiliate links used) as a template to stamp and heat emboss with black some of the fun circle images from Spiffy Spots. The stamp set,  Spiffy Spots, is so much fun and versatile to be used on it's own, but pairing it with the Perfect Palette Cover Up Die is a match made in heaven.

I then added a white panel cut from the Perfect Palette Cover Up Die and adhered it at a jaunty angle, then finished the card by stamping a sentiment from Spiffy Spots, following the edge of the Perfect Palette Cover Up Die for something a bit different.

I was so inspired by the name of the Perfect Palette Cover Up Die that I decided to make my next card resemble an eyeshadow palette, complete with mattes and shimmers! I started again with a pink card base, added areas of ink to a white piece of card stock trimmed just so it fits behind the Perfect Palette Cover Up Die and then topped the colors off with a gray palette made with the Perfect Palette Cover Up Die

I added some shimmer to the pots with a Wink of Stella Pen, then a sentiment from a previously released Lil' Inker Designs stamp set called Mirror, Mirror (currently out of stock, boo!). The inside reads: How am I supposed to remember your birthday when you never look any older? I thought it was so fitting with the whole eyeshadow palette look!

Here's a look at the new release products showcased in my two projects today:

Just a quick post today, to let you know that Lil' Inker Designs has restocked some of my favorite items. I created this card with a vanilla cardbase topped with the Perfectly Plaid Cover Up Die. Catherine Pooler Designs :: Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval :: Release Day

Oh my goodness, I'm back with a card to help remind you that the Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs was released to StampNation members last night, and the Wait List this morning. If there are any available collections left, they are available right now! Hurry up and order here!

I saved one of my favorite cards I created so far from this collection to share with you today. I started with a base of  Catherine Pooler Ultra Smooth White Cardstock (affiliate links used). Onto this base, I stamped a fun and quirky bottom border with the Good Vibes Border Stamp Set. This provided a base for my flamingo (cut from the Stand Tall Dies) and stamped with both the Grunge Canvas Background Stamp and Stand Tall Stamp Set in Coral Cabana and Party Dress Ink, then die cut with the Stand Tall Dies.

The flamingo rests on some foliage created from the Leave Me in Paradise Stamp Set and corresponding Leave Me in Paradise Dies, as well as a flower from Tropically Yours Stamp Set and Tropically Yours Dies. I finished with a sentiment from the Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Set.

I hope you had a chance to order the Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval Collection!

Catherine Pooler Designs:: Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval

Have you heard of the limited edition collections offered by Catherine Pooler Designs called Stamp of Approval?! Past releases have been spectacular and this one is just as spectacular and truly tons of fun-it might be my favorite one yet!

Let me help introduce the Stamp of Approval Tropcially Yours Collection! The Stamp of Approval Tropically Yours is an exclusive collection. Tropically Yours products were designed exclusively for this box, are brand new and won't be available separately for a number of months.

This happy box is jam packed full of items that are perfect for sun lovers and beach goers and everyone that likes to create tropical things! I really love how all the items and add-ons of the collection work so well together.

My first card features a few of the new items. I first inked up an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock (Affiliate links used when possible) panel with Lime Rickey Ink, then stamped the Canvas Grunge Background Stamp with Grass Skirt Ink over the background. I then placed the add-on dies, Leave Me in Paradise Dies, on top of the panel in a random array and die cut them. On a white card base, I stamped the corresponding leaves from the Leave Me in Paradise Stamp Set with the new Coral Cabana Ink. I finished the card with a hand-cut fishtail sentiment strip stamped with a sentiment from the Tropically Yours Stamp Set in Midnight Ink.

For this next beachy, encouraging card, I started by inking up a white cardstock panel with Limoncello, Orange Twist and Coral Cabana Inks. I distressed it with some water and heat embossed the large, awesome sentiment from the Fearless Pursuit Stamp Set. I then stamped and clear heat embossed a couple of palm trees, also from Fearless Pursuit, onto Midnight Cardstock, and then die cut them with the corresponding add-on Fearless Pursuit Dies

This next card is a clean and simple technique card that features the awesome Cabana Tiles Dies and Stand Tall Stamp Set (for the sentiment).

I die cut the hexagons from the Cabana Tiles Dies in black paper, added vellum to the back and colored it in with copics for a stained glass look. I finished with a sentiment from Stand Tall.

The last card I am showcasing today is a one layer card that packs a party punch!

I started with a card base made from the Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, masked off a portion in the center with post-it tape and then stamped the beautiful leaves and hibiscus flowers from the Tropically Yours Stamp Set with LimoncelloOrange TwistParty DressCoral Cabana, and Tuiti Fruiti inks. I removed the mask and stamped a fun border from the Good Vibes Stamp Set with Midnight Ink. I finished the card with a sentiment, also from the Good Vibes Stamp Set.

All Collections Include the following: Stand Tall Stamp Set Tropically Yours Stamp Set Fearless Pursuit Stamp Set (a large 6x8 set!) Leave Me in Paradise Stamp Set Good Vibes Borders Stamp Set Cabana Tiles Die Canvas Grunge Background Stamp And the following are coordinating Add-ons: Stand Tall Dies Leave Me in Paradise Dies Tropically Yours Dies Fearless Pursuit Dies Coral Cabana Ink Pad

Where Creativity Meets C9 July Challenge:: Mixed Media

**For my New Craft Stash Blog Hop Post, please scroll down or click here**

The August Challenge for Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge is all about Mixed Media. If your preference is Clean and Simple designs like me, the concept of Mixed Media can be a little intimidating, but for this challenge we are looking for the use of two different mediums. Time to pull out all your mixed medium tools and supplies and  incorporate them with the amazing stamps and dies from Concord & 9th (affiliate links used)! We can't wait to see how you were inspired, as this challenge is dedicated to the innovative stamp company and their products!

For my Mixed Media card, I used the Stuck on You Stamp Set, one of my favorites due to the large, simple and fun cacti images and planters. I stamped the planters onto blush paper and applied some Whipped Spackle mixed with ink for a terra cotta textured look. I love the worn look! I also used Whipped Spackle with a mix of green inks for the catcti. After the spackle dried, I outlined the images with a black pen, fussy cut them and adhered them to a textured white card base. I finished the card by creating some bases/shadows with a Copic Marker and a lovely sentiment from the Many Mandalas Stamp Set.

The challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Concord & 9th and one lucky random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree. The favorite entry will be asked to guest design for a future challenge! The challenge runs until July 29th, so there is plenty of time to pull out your favorite Concord & 9th stamps and die and create Plus, new Concord & 9th products were released TODAY and they are fantastic!

You can find Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge on Facebook here, and their Instagram here!

New Craft Stash Blog Hop

The main premise of the hop is to use something New - "New" meaning - new to the papercrafting market, new to you, or newly discovered in your Craft Stash - you know the stuff you bought, tucked away and forgot about! I chose to use my Twinkling H2O's, which literally, dropped in their reminder when they fell on my desk from a tucked away shelf!

I love these watercolors because they add a bit of sparkle while still keeping the vibrant colors. I stamped a row of birds from the cute Hello Bluebird Stamp Set, Silly Birds Stamp Set and colored them in with the Twinkling H2O's. I adhered the panel onto a colored cardstock base, and then added a sentiment for a CAS card.

There are some amazing prizes up for grabs on this three day hop (today is day one!) and winners will be drawn Sunday July 23rd. All you have to do to win is comment on each stop on the hop for the three days. We know everyone is busy during the summer so we split the hop into three days and gave you extra time to comment. Summer School 2018:: Complementary Colors and Repetition

I've got my last cards to show today for the 2018 My Favorite Things Summer School. It's been a lot of fun creating for these challenges, and stretching my boundaries. These cards are for the Complementary Colors Class. I chose to work with the puple/yellow and orange/blue combo, I am not the biggest fan of the red/green combination.

Both of these cards feature the You Gnome Me and Essential Sentiments Stamp Sets, along with the Radiating Ray Stencil  and Fishtail Flag Frames Die-namics.

Next, I have a card for the Repetition Class.

I started with a white card base and used a sentiment from More Essential Sentiments and repeated it with shades of blue and green ink. I then die cut a black sentiment from the Celebrate Die-Namics, added a few balloons from Adorable Elephants and a strip from the Black and White Basics Patterned Paper Pack.

I've completed all the classes and have graduated from 2018 Summer School!
