Catherine Pooler Designs & WOW Embossing Blog Hop

What a fun adventure it is to team up amazing Wow embossing powders with amazing
Catherine Pooler Designs products!

I absolutely love that WOW offers some masculine, earth-toned powders in their line, and Catherine Pooler has some great sets that can be used for guys as well.

I paired a stamp from the Everyday Mod Stamp Set (affiliate links used) with Blueberry, Olive, Honey and Paprika and then a sentiment from Happiness Enclosed that was embossed with Platinum. Love this color combination for masculine cards!

I also used the same set of colors for a slightly more feminine card. This time I embossed a series of floral images from The World Awaits Stamp Set with Platinum WOW Embossing Powder.
I colored the backround with sponged ink from the Spa Collection. I then created a die cut word from the Wonderful Word Die, making it 3D by layering and heating the Paprika Embossing Powder.

This hop is fantastic! Check out all the participants below:

I've got a few projects to showcase today for the first day of the blog hop-although all items are now available!

My next card features the show-stopping Say it in Diamonds Stamp Set! Some simple stamping (with the help of a MISTI) and Nuvo Drops completed this card.

Going back to stars with this card, as it features the Star Word Die, stamped in an ombre of inks. I used-starting from the top- Peppermint Scrub, Rockin' Red, Mandarin Spice Tutti Fruiti, Orange Twist, Tiki Torch, Sauna inks.

I finished with a sentiment from the Starlights Stamp Set.

I saved my favorite card for last! I started by creating a card base using the Postage Stamp DiesThis created my "grass" base. I added a sky with blue cardstock and It's a Boy inked through the new Twisted Sunburst Stencil

I then die cut clouds and a hot air balloon from the Love is in the Air Stamp Set and coordinating Love is in the Air Dies, added my own details with a black marker. I finished with a die cut sentiment from Thanks.

Babies are such gifts, and it is always tons of fun to pull out pastels and work with them! There are a few products from this release that are geared towards these precious gifts we call babies, Baby Onesie Shaker Die, Baby Word Tags Dies, and Little One Stamp Set.

I created a onesie shaker with the  Baby Onesie Shaker Die, so super easy! (PS-save the inside die cut...it has a score line created in the design so you can fold it over and it becomes a diaper!). I then die cut some large sentiment words from the Baby Word Tags Dies- I simply cut off the tags. And then I finished the card with an adorable stamped sentiment from Little One Stamp Set.

My last card for this release features an everyday thanks message and large, detailed flowers, made from the Perky Posies XL Dies.

I started the card with a white card base that has been embossed with the classic Quilted Stitched Pattern Cover Up Die. It provided the perfect background for the large flowers die cut from colorful paper and the Perky Posies XL Dies. I added some Nuvo Drops and a die cut sentiment from the Thanks Word Die.

Here's a look at the new release products showcased in my two projects today:

LID:: June 2018 Release:: Day 2

Today is the second of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs June 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented  Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

What's not to love about a crowd of smiley cats giving gifts?? Such a cute combo the Cat Hugs Stamp Set and Cat Hugs Die Set are! There are so many ways to decorate these kitties, but I chose to black heat emboss on kraft paper and added a bit of detail with Copic Markers (cheeks) and white gel pen. I then stamped, heat embossed, and Copic colored some of the accessories in this set. The die lets you cut out the top of the heads, and then you can also choose to cut out the individual hands as well, as I've done here. I finished the card by mounting the kitties onto some blue cardstock and stamped and heat embossed a sentiment, also from the Cat Hugs Stamp Set.

This next card was super fun to create as well, and it quite possibly is due to the cuteness of the Super Coffee Die and Stamp Bundle. I started this card by stamping, coloring and die cutting the super hero coffee mug. I added the smiley face stamp as well, and then some eyeballs created from Nuvo Drops.

The next step was to stamp the sentiment included in the Super Coffee Die and Stamp Bundle. I die cut the panel from Stitched Mats: Long and Skinny Rectangles. I also die cut from bright yellow cardstock some bright rays from the Wrappers Delight: Sunburst Die. All of the elements were adhered to a bright blue card base.

LID:: June 2018 Release:: Day 1

Today is the first of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs June 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies. This release from Lil' Inker Designs is chock full of cute items, perfect for coffee lovers, summer and beyond! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first card features a few of the new items! I started with a kraft card base and then added a white die cut from the new Cover Up Die: Perfectly Plaid. This die is sooooo cool. I used it in the most simple manner today, but you can cut it from multiple colors and layer it by turning it upside down, flipping it over, etc. You can create many plaid looks, I'll have more examples to show you after the release.

To finish the card, I create a steaming paper mug of coffee with the Coffee Talk 2 Die Set, embellished with the perfect sentiment that was stamped and heat embossed with the new. large and perfectly awesome Coffee Talk 2 Stamp Set. A little inked edges and Copic colored details make the mug and spoon pop off the card.

I was really liking the color combination used in the above card, so I created a complimentary gift card holder using the new, fun To Go Coffee Cup Gift Holder Die Set using the same combination. This gift holder is so cool, it can be made in three swipes of a die cut machine: I used white cardstock for the lid (Copic colored detailing), Kraft for the base (inked edges) and coral for the mug sleeve. The sentiment was stamped in black, using the Coffee Talk 2 Stamp Set.
