No Peeking Tag

I am starting to build my stash of Christmas Tags...not only to use myself but to give as gifts too!
This tag was created with the most recent Stamp of Approval Collection, All the Trimmings, from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I chose to use an unconventional Christmas color combination, but one that is still fun and cute! Lime and Purple! I started by making a tag from Tags, Etc. Dies and then stamped the really cool Woodgrain Background Stamp in Grass Skirt. I then stamped and die cut the cut elf and accessories from Santa Approved and the Santa Approved Dies and adhered them to the tag. I finished with a greeting stamp Santa Approved from and some fun ribbon!

Lil' Inker Designs:: October 2018 Release:: Day Three

Today is the last day of the Lil' Inker Designs October 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies. This release from Lil' Inker Designs is beautiful, cute and perfect all wrapped up in one, and perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas...really any occasion! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jen Carter's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first card features the newest die from the shaker collection, Mitten Shaker Die Set. I started by die cutting and creating a shaker with the Mitten Shaker Die Set and adding a bit of dimension by die cutting a portion of it to create a second mitten to tuck behind the first. I love that this die set offers two options for embellishing the cuff of the mitten as well!

The background rests on an embossed panel created with the previously released Cover Up Die: Dotted Scallops and a sentiment from the new Ready, Set Snow Stamp Set.

The second card features the negative portion of the Cover Up Die: Diagonal Plaid that was released on World Card Making Day this month, as well as another die included in the Mitten Shaker Die Set-the small mittens. I added a gold string as well as some puffy paint to the mittens. As a final touch, I heat embossed a snowflake from the Ready, Set Snow Stamp Set onto the mittens. I finished the card with a beautiful, die cut greeting from this release, Season's Greetings Word Die.

Here's a look at the new release products showcased in my two projects today:

It is with pleasure that I get to send you to the talented Kimberly Rendino, as the next stop along the hop. I hope you get a chance to visit the Lil' Inker Designs Store now as products are already up at the store!!

Don't forget to leave a unique comment along the each of the stops on the hop! You can win the ENTIRE release by leaving unique comments on each of the stops along the hop each day! (affiliate links used)

All Seasons Turnabout, Calendar and Easel Die

Today I have the pleasure to showcase a trio of items from Concord & 9th October Release. The All Seasons Bundle is perfect for all year! I am so honored to showcase all the October Releases for Concord & 9th this month!

I stamped tone-on-tone the beautiful All Seasons Turnabout Stamp Set stamped repeatedly in the background to form a cool pattern. For the focal point, I die cut the elements from the All Seasons Die in a number of different colors for a cool Scandinavian look. I finished the card by stamping an all occasion birthday sentiment from the  All Seasons Turnabout Stamp.

This next photo showcases the Pre-printed 2019 Calendar. Talk about a perfect holiday gift...a hand stamped calendar! I stamped the All Seasons Turnabout Stamp in a variety of colors to form a beautiful focal point for each month.

Concord & 9th also released an Easel Die, which is perfect for displaying those precious gifts we call handmade cards. You can use this die a number of ways, which makes it extremely versatile. With or without the shelf, a scalloped border or no scallops on the shelf, it can hold the full calendar or just a single card!

These products from Concord & 9th are so amazing and have endless possibilities. I hope when you pick yours up, it will for you as well! (affiliate links used)

Lil' Inker Designs:: October 2018 Release:: Day 2

Welcome to the second of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs October 2018 Release Showcase...

My first card today features the really cool Merry Ornaments Stamp Set! This set is perfect for mass producing, yet adding unique, quick touches so no two cards are the same (only if you want!). I started by stamping the main image in red ink, then added details with black ink, and then finished completing the ornament with the other stamps in the set. I added some flourishes from this same set and finished the card with inked edges. I die cut the panel with Stitched Mats: Squares and adhered it to a white card base.

I have one more card that could easily be reproduced in bulk, but the details are outstanding! I started the above card with a white card base with blue watercolored ink. To the corners, I stamped and heat embossed the beautiful Classic Christmas Stamps, and embellished the berries with silver ink.

I finished the card by die cutting the absolutely stunning, bold greeting, Happy Holidays Word Die, from silver paper, and rounded one corner of the card.

Lil' Inker Designs:: October 2018 Release:: Day 1

Today is the first of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs October 2018 Release Showcase...

This first card is my favorite that I created for the release, I think it is so cute and fun and personable! I created a set of four pieces of pie using the new Pie Dies and Copic markers. They are resting on a white card base inked and splattered with blue. I finished the card with a sentiment from the coordinating Hap-pie Thanksgiving Stamp Set (and a previously released set, Scooter Balloon Stamps. Love that these fonts match!)

I have another card featuring items from this release that can be used beyond the holiday season. I started this card by creating a custom background onto kraft paper with stamps from the beautiful Blossoms and Banners Autumn Banners Stamp Set. I then die cut the panel with the classic Stitched Mats: Rectangles and bordered it with some blue cardstock and then mounted it onto a white card base.

For the focal point of this card, I stamped two of the banners from Blossoms and Banners Autumn Banners Stamp Set, colored each with Copics, die cut them with the coordinating Blossoms and Banners Autumn Banners Die Set and then layered them together. I finished by stamping one of the many sentiments, also from Blossoms and Banners Autumn Banners Stamp Set.

I really like the pattern that the number created onto the blue panel of this card, and the fact that I could create a general, non-birthday card with this stamp and die set too!

I wanted to create another card showcasing alternate uses for the Notable Numbers Bundle, I also used the Free with $60 purchase stamp set (while supplies last 10/09-11/08/18), You Matter, for the splash of color!

This is such a fun stamp and die set from Concord & 9th, with endless possibilities. I hope when you pick yours up, it will for you as well! (affiliate links used)

All the Trimmings!

Oh my goodness, I'm back showcasing a couple of cards (and to let you know that the release is now live!) from the All the Trimmings Release from Catherine Pooler Designs!

I created this card using the lovely Peace, Love and Doves Background Stamp. I heat embossed it with white onto watercolor paper and used a wash of Samba, Suede Shoes, Mardi Gras and Sauna Inks. I then cut the panel and mounted it onto a card base made from Catherine Pooler Ultra Smooth White Cardstock (affiliate links used)I finished the card by stamping a sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments and Borders Stamp Set and bordered it with cute holly leaves from the Holiday Charms Stamps.

Next I created a tag featuring the Nested Labels Dies and the cute little elf from and Santa Approved Stamps and Santa Approved Dies. I used the new inks for this tag to color the portions of the Nested Labels Dies, and used these as a background for the main image. The elf was colored with mainly the new inks using a blender pen. I finished the tag with an string of black embroidery floss.

Did you know that Catherine also released a few sequins sets? The Aspen Sequin Mix, Glacier Bay Sequin Mix, and Vegas, Baby Sequin Mix are absolutely gorgeous and a must-have craft item for your stash!

Catherine Pooler Designs:: All The Trimmings Release

Are you ready for All the Trimmings- the newest, awesome release from Catherine Pooler Designs featuring many holiday items?! This collection features stamps, coordinating dies, three new ink colors. It is a delightful mix for the holidays.  Wow!

My first card features the gorgeous Snowglobe Dies, and I love how it turned out! I created a snowglobe wonder full of snowy hills and bucks. This truly is a scene I see many winter days here in Wisconsin. I started by die cutting elements of the snowglobe from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock and then assembled the globe with acetate. I freehanded some hills with Velum Cardstock and die cut with the Snowglobe Dies the bucks from Smoke Cardstock. I then assembled the globe, adding glitter and a few sequins to make some snow. To add authenticity to the snowglobe, I stamped the base with the new Woodgrain Background Stamp onto Sand Dunes Cardstock and shaded it with Copic Markers. To finish the card, I added the plaque, also from the and then a few flourishes Snowglobe Dies in the corner of the card with stamps from the Seasonal Sentiments and Borders Stamp Set and Sweet Sixteen Ink.

My next card features the show-stopping new ink colors and the Holly and Berries Cover Plate, along with a few other new items! Once again I started with a white card base from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. I then used the same paper to ink up the new Flourishes Background Stamp in Mardi Gras Ink. Before die cutting the panel with the Holly and Berries Cover Plate, I sponged Mardi Gras Ink right over the flourishes.

I then die cut a few of the Nested Labels Dies and colored one with Suede Shoes, and stamped the word Noel from the Seasonal Sentiments and Borders Stamp Set. To finish the card, I stamped and colored with Mardi Gras Ink and Samba Ink with a Dove Blender some poinsettias that were stamped with the Holiday Charms Stamps and die cut with the the Holiday Charms Die Set

Please be sure to hop and comment, as there are prizes! One winner will be chosen to receive a $25 gift certificate to the Catherine Pooler Store! Winners will be announced on Catherine's blog on the evening of Monday, October 22.

Songbird

Quite possibly my newest favorite stamp set is Songbird, just released for the Concord & 9th October Release! And double the fun for me, I am so honored to showcase all the October Releases for Concord & 9th this month!

I started this card by stamping in Vintage Photo Distress ink the main stamp image of the bird onto Linen cardstock, accentuating with the leaves included in the set. I then stamped the same image onto white cardstock, coloring the bird with Zig Real Color Brush Markers, die cutting with a circle and arranging for a spotlight technique. I finished the card with a sentiment, also from  Songbird, and a few Nuvo Drops.

I created another card with the  Songbird set too. This time I started with a cream card base and stamped the main image with brown ink, accentuating with the flower additions in the set.

I colored this image with a mix of watercolors and Zig Real Clean Brush Markers, and then continue the image onto pink cardstock and added additional stamped flowers. I finished with some jute twine and a stamped sentiment.

It brought me such joy to stamp with this set from Concord & 9th, I hope when you pick yours up, it will for you as well! (affiliate links used)
