Sending Thoughts & Prayers & Black Friday Sale

Thoughts and prayers are needed all over, all the time. What better way to show someone you are thinking about them than with a handmade greeting?

This card features beautiful butterflies and vibrant ink from Catherine Pooler Designs, with a wonderful retired background stamp from Simon Says Stamps.

I started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, then inked up the background stamp with Polished Ink. Then, I die cut two butterflies from Faithful Flutterings Dies, and then stamped the layers with Tiara, Limoncello, Orange Twist. and Tutti Fruiti using the coordinating Faithful Flutterings Stamp Set. Before adhering the butterflies to the card, I splattered some black paint. The sentiment, also from Faithful Flutterings, was white heat embossed on black paper, and adhered with dimensional adhesive.

Eat The Rainbow

Did you mother or father ever tell you to make sure you "eat the rainbow" aka "eat your veggies"? This card reminds me of that saying!

I brought out a few favorite stamp sets of mine from Catherine Pooler Designs that I haven't played with in a while, and since I'm always in need of a Thank You card, the Veggies, Please and Big Thanks stamp sets fit the bill.

As usual, this card started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White cardstock. I stamped the word "thanks" from the Big Thanks stamp set in Fiesta Blue on the bottom portion of the card. Then I added the fun "grounding line" from the Punctuated Party Stamp Set inked with Midnight.

I then die cut and stamped the fun vegetables from the Veggies, Please stamp and corresponding die set. I used the following vibrant ink colors: Garden Party, Grass Skirt, Samba, Melon Ice, Lime Rickey, Sauna, and Mandarin Spice. I used a corner rounder for the bottom corners and ended up with a mailing friendly, full of fun thank you card!

Crackle Pinecones:: Using Leftovers

 

During the World Card Making Day weekend, I was able to do a tutorial on Nuvo Crackle Mousse and the On My Window Sill Stamp Set and coordinating dies from Catherine Pooler Designs over on StampNation. I had a lot of fun, and a lot of leftovers! Today was the day to put them to use.

The leftovers were a panel with Nuvo Crackle Mousse over the Shell Parade Stencil and a window from the On My Window Sill, first stamped in Icing on the Cake. I applied the mousse colored with Juniper Mist ink. I inked blended Hot Tub ink onto the panel, adhered the window and added some stamped and die cut pinecones and needles from Pinecone Greeting Stamp Set and Dies. (Eucalyptus and Icing on the Cake inks used.) I covered each of the images with Nuvo Crackle Mousse too!

To finish the card, I die cut the large sentiment from Wishes Word Die, covered in Hot Tub Ink and Nuvo Crackle Mousse. The "holiday" word is from the All Around Wishes Stamp Set. I added a couple of drops made from Nuvo Glitter Drops.

on a s I pulled   store this past week. I featured the stamp set On My Window Sill, the coordinating dies, and , together with previously released Boxes of Blooms Stamps and Dies to create a little scene featuring weathered wood window sills. The sentiment is from Happy Birthday Many Ways.

Swinging By

This little cheeky monkey makes me grin from ear to ear! He's swinging by to wish someone a happy birthday!

I created this card a while back when Catherine Pooler Designs and Heffy Doodle had a collaboration hop, so many fun cards to see that day! I had pulled it out from my stash the other day to send and realized I haven't shared it here yet!

This card features a custom colored Ultra Smooth Cardstock card base with Sage Ink using the ink direct to paper. I then stamped the sentiment in Midnight and Sage Ink with the Happy Sentiment Set. I colored with alcohol markers the cute little monkey and vine from Heffy Doodle's Chimply the Best Stamp Set and die cut them with the corresponding dies.

A CAS card that just makes me smile and I hope it will make the recipient smile as well!
