Layout Inspiration

When I look back through my scrapbooks I recognize my "style" even in those pages from way back when. I've changed some and so have my finished projects, but my go-to clean and graphic look is still there.

The layout featured in Moxie Fab World's Finding Inspiration in a Layout Challenge was too pretty to pass up. I refined and simplified my card a bit from the layout to suite my style. I drew inspiration from the colors, the treatment of patterned paper, the pins, cropped circles and black journaling. This was fun, I think I'll go back to my own layouts to draw inspiration for future cards.

Speaking of the pins, these little gems were so fun to make. I found an easy tutorial over at the Scrap Doctor's blog.

  25. You're getting a lot of mileage from that little bird stamp, Karen -- and I can see why! He is extra cute -- and looks as good in blue as he did in yellow! :) Love how you re-interpretted the layout for your card.
