Banners

I have the  pleasure of joining in on the Ribbon Carousel and May Arts Blog Hop!

Banners were quite the rage not to long ago (they still are a hot ticket items, I think?) and I never got around to creating my own ribbon banner...until now.
I took three coordinating May Arts ribbon (solid black twill, blue chevron striped twill and red striped grosgrain), folded them over and stitched then onto a string of black burlap string. I made sure the banners were of different lengths and even added in an inverted v-cut for additional interest.
Perhaps this will be my go to card this year for graduations, I think it would be rather fun to make ribbon banners custom to the graduate's school colors.

Below is a a listing of all participants in the hop. Please stop by for a visit and be sure to leave  comments, as up for grabs is a fabulous ribbon carousel offered by May Arts and four spools of ribbon offered up by Ribbon Carousel. There are also chances to win spools of ribbon on each of the sponsor's facebook  pages as well!
