A Child of Air

As from the house your mother sees
You playing round the garden trees,
So you may see, if you will look
Through the windows of this book,
Another child, far, far away,
And in another garden, play.
But do not think you can at all,
By knocking on the window, call
That child to hear you. He intent
Is all on his play-business bent.
He does not hear; he will not look,
Nor yet be lured out of this book.
For, long ago, the truth to say,
He has grown up and gone away,
And it is but a child of air
That lingers in the garden there.

Sometimes my weekends are quiet and I long for the noise and bustle of two little boys.
Being a mother is amazing, and when you have no kids to physically "mother"
it makes for some long days.

Mother's Day has come and gone for this year, however,
The Craft's Meow Stamps are so versatile that they can be used year round,
such as Mother and Father, by Nina B. Designs.
For this birthday card (or Mother's Day, if you so wish!)
I started by creating an intricate pattern with one of the small stamps
included in Inspired by Audrey.
The pattern itself looks intricate, but it was super easy to line up and stamp!
I ink distressed the edges, stamped the sentiment from
Mother and Father and finished with a silk bow.
Such a super easy card to create with a vintage
vibe and just enough softness for a mother.
