One Layer Blooms

The greenhouses are finally open in Wisconsin! I just love walking down the aisles looking at all the beauty, dreaming of combinations and hoping that the keepers I can keep alive (and the deer don't eat them!)

I have a card today featuring Catherine Pooler Designs products. As usual, I started with an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock,. I masked a panel off and then stamped the floral image from Let it Soar. Some of the flowers were full images and some were cut off by the mask. I then colored the images with Tombow Markers and the background from the non-masked portion was colored in black.

I did outline the flowers in the un-masked portion with a gray marker. I think it would have been prettier without this detail, but live and learn! This is a a one layer card with the exception of the sentiment, that is die cut from black cardstock with the Happy Thanks Word Dies. I accentuated the sentiment with a stamped sentiment from One Liners Sentiment Stamp Set.
