Everything in Her Power

This according to a fine organization:
"Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with her heart, body and soul. Throughout her diagnosis, treatments, and endless days in the hospital, she spent her time thinking of ways to make life better for other women battling breast cancer instead of worrying about her own situation. That concern for others continued even as Susan neared the end of her fight. Moved by Susan’s compassion for others and committed to making a difference, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever."

Starting with The Paper Variety's challenge as inspiration for this card, I arranged the three cherry blossom images from TiffanyDoodle's newest release to her series, Granny's Yard, to create my own background paper, used two types of ink to highlight the blossoms and finished the card by one powerful sentiment.

Tiffany has tons of specials and even a fun easter egg hunt going on in April (see my side bar) that you won't want to miss out on!

A Springy Hop

A spring in your step, a springy blog hop! I miss the spring of where I used to live, I miss seeing the dogwoods bloom early. What I don't miss is the five or so expected inches of snow we are supposed to get where I live now.

This card was so easy to create, I think I'll be trying it again. I printed the delicate dogwood branch image, misted and highlighted it, coloring the leaves with mist as well.

Today begins a 3 day blog hop at Tiffany Doodles where there are giveaways at every stop.
The details: Follow every blog and be sure to leave a comment to be eligible for prizes. Each stop has a special doodle that you could win, and there is a grand prize of a $10 gift certificate to Tiffany Doodles! I have this beautiful dogwood branch image to give to one lucky participant. (Winner will be chosen by random.)

Be prepared for a lot of spring inspiration when you visit the following Tiffany Doodles Design Team members:
There are some amazing happenings (besides this fun hop) at Tiffany Doodles this month. The regular Card Challenge starts Monday, March 7th! Tiffany also has great sales going on.

A Cheery Hello

She always has a cheery hello for everyone walking into the office each morning. She's bright, fun and full of life. I wonder how she does it every day, without missing a beat. I really think she must drink a gallon of caffeinated coffee before stepping through the doors, as I know I am not like that at all in the morning.

The very talented Jen (who seriously does really awesome tutorials with ribbon) posted a card with a striking inspiration photo so I followed the link to Chick N' Lil's Photo Inspiration Challenge (cute!). Her daughter took the photo and the colors are so bright and cheery against the black. Might I add that Pam is very talented too!

I went big and I went bold by printing the Dahlia Flower image from TiffanyDoodles in red on bright yellow cardstock and highlighted a few areas with yellow ink. The sticker sentiment is big and bold and black, just like the flower and the background.

Cardstock: (Marigold Morning) SU

Digital Stamp: (Dahlia) TiffanyDoodles
Ink: (Marigold Morning Pigment) SU

The Little Bird

Once I saw a little bird. Come hop, hop, hop; So I cried, "Little bird, Will you stop, stop, stop?" And was going to the window To say, "How do you do?" But he shook his little tail, And far away he flew.

That little nursery rhyme graces a page in an old book from my boys and was stuck in my head while making these hybrid cards featuring the new YellowThroat Image from TiffanyDoodles. I opened some digital paper in my photoediting program, added a while silhouette and then the bird silhouette and printed it. I then inked the edges and added a stamped sentiment before adhering it to a card base. I made three of these little birdie cards.

All the bird releases are available in the store today, with a special limited sale!

Everyone

Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to comment. Thanks for the support. Thanks for visiting or browsing. Thanks for everything.

Playing along this morning with The Play Date Cafe and their gorgeous color combination. I printed this image from TiffanyDoodles directly onto some rose colored paper, then colored it with pencils and cut and lifted portions off of the card base. I attached a white panel on the inside of the card to create even more dimension and a ribbon tab by the sentiment that was stamped in indigo blue.

Fabulous colors at The Play Date Cafe, and I'm happy that I challenged myself to actually play along with a color combo that had four swatches. Woosh!

Oh, and I also wanted to let you know about this!

All the Best

All the Best... What a wonderful sentiment. All the best in love, in fortune, in happiness. All the best in Life.

TiffanyDoodles is debuting the last image in her new flower series, the Nicotiana. I printed the dainty flower image twice after reversing it in an image editing program, colored with pencils and distressed it heavily. The layout was inspired by this skech from the talented Tiffany Johnson. (You'll notice I wasn't quite daring enough to banner my sentiment and instead chose to replace that with some burlap string and then placed my sentiment where the button is depicted.)

This next card was my first attempt at the Nicotiana image. I had a friend very recently and unexpectedly loose her daughter (who was my age!). My friend is a gardener, not at all a flashy person and quite down to earth so I chose a more subdued color palette for this sympathy card.

All three new flower sets will be available in the TiffanyDoodles Store on Friday the 28th. Buy all three sets and receive 10% discount through the weekend.

In My World

In My World...there are bright turquoise and pink regal song birds flying through the air...there is just enough money to pay all the bills and have enough left over for fun things...all my family would live close (enough)...In My World...

Popping by with a quick card I put together after being inspired by this beautiful and regal pendant from Nanny's Room for the Etsy Inspired Challenge. I grabbed an this warbler image from TiffanyDoodles that has been sitting on my table for a long time-just waiting to be colored-then saturated the bird first with water from an Aqua Painter and then went back in with some pigment markers, removing excess colors with a cloth.

Tiffany is also sneaking another new beautiful flower image that will be available this Friday.

So, I'd like to know...What's in Your World?

Invitations

First and foremost, they needed to be cute and they needed to be bright. They needed to reflect the joy of a new little boy arriving soon. They needed to have some kind of animal depicted to reflect my sister being a veterinarian. And lastly, they needed to be flat enough to mail mostly cross country.

I started with this cute digital puppy image from TiffanyDoodles, added the text, printed four to a sheet and adhered them a quarter each to red, blue, yellow or green cardstock with staples. I finished with either a rhinestone or a dot of bright paint for the puppy's tag.

Tiffany is debuting three new images this week, here's a sneak of the first image. Pretty, right?

Shy Babies. Protective Mamas.

The three girls seemed as tiny as the baby rabbits they were about to discover nestled in the den underneath the tall grass at the edge of the lawn. They could only stand in awe as they viewed the bunnies on the day they finally found the den. Oh how the girls longed to hold and cuddle these tiny shy creatures- but they collectively remembered their father telling them to leave any wild baby alone, as the protective mama is always not far away...

I would like to invite you to participate in another sketch challenge with me, this time for TiffanyDoodles 7 on the 7th Challenge! I rotated rotated the sketch and kept it pretty simple by cutting out the Shy Bunny Digital Stamp after lightly coloring him. If you have time, check out all the other fabulous design team member's cards and link your card up!

Happy Holidays

I never knew how true this would be until I had boys of my own, big and little....

I made a plate of cookies to share with you this year
I thought it was a good way to spread some holiday cheer.
They all looked really tasty...I thought I'd eat just one...
A little while later, I noticed there were none.
So here's my holiday greeting and some cookie cutters, too.
Now you can make your cookies and maybe share a few!

Fill a bag with holiday cookie cutters, sugar cookie mix, a jar of frosting and some sprinkles.

Taking a bit of a blogging break to celebrate my son's birthday and Christmas,
so here's to wishing you and yours the very merriest of holidays!

(Poem found on Splitcoast Stampers, but I no longer have the link. Holly image is from TiffanyDoodles.
Sorry, I wish I could say this was my handwriting but it's a font, I think the CK Ali Edwards one, actually!)

Doodles

Thanks a bunch to Tiff at TiffanyDoodles for having me on their talented team! I guess I'd say I'm pretty picky when it comes to any kind of images, but those at TiffanyDoodles stole my heart. I love them! (Thanks as well to Sharli for this really awesome washi tape and to Els for the perfectly deep red rhinestone used in this card today!) This card was made in just a few steps: I printed the puppy image, added the sticker, and then tape and rhinestones. This card will be going to one special mama-to-be, a veterinarian to use for her baby's thank you's. The color inspiration for this card came from the challenge over at Jay Gee's Nook!

I'm excited to let you know that there will be a lot of opportunities available for you to win some fabulous digital images from TiffanyDoodles! Tiffany Doodles is having a Blog Hop that starts this Tuesday, December 7th and runs through Thursday with a lot of opportunities to win. That day the design team will also be featuring cards for the December Challenge (which has four chances to win up to seven digis of your choice by participating!).
