25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 Week 1

 

I have always enjoyed joining Tracey with your 25 Days of Christmas Tags Challenge, the inspiration is awesome and endless!

I have six tags to showcase today, from the first week.

Day One had so many wonderful tags to start the event! My tag was influenced by the bright colors, the polka dots and bold images from Mendi's fun tags. I used a plethora of Catherine Pooler Designs' products (listed below).

Day Two featured some amazing creations. My tag was influenced from the beautiful scenic tag from Jo. I recreated the scene with the fun houses, black lines and trees using products from Catherine Pooler Designs. I also added some glitter too!

The inspiration from Day Three was beautiful too! I was inspired by Laurie's tag-loved the curved greenery and chic simple design, and used a stamp set from Concord & 9th.

So many cute tags were featured on Day Four! The inspiration for this day's tag came from Larissa's tags, featuring the subtle textured background, rows of tress and a spotted sentiment! I featured products from Catherine Pooler Designs again for this tag.

Wow, the tags from Day Five were some of my favorites! I have always admired Lindsey's creations, and her tags were my inspiration. I loved the black and kraft with the spots of white, and the serene scene with the houses and snows. This tag was made up of all scraps featuring Catherine Pooler Designs products.

There was bold and beautiful inspiration found on Day Six. I drew inspiration from the beautiful ink blended, blue background of Sue's tag, along with the large, heat embossed sentiment. I again used products from Catherine Pooler Designs.

What a pleasure it was to be inspired by all of the tags from the first week, and I hope to create more for the following days!

A Waving Rudolf

 

This year I'm the hostess for the holiday challenge series over on StampNation and the time has come for our last challenge of the series. StampNation is an amazing crafting community where paper crafters gather to share the love of stamping and card making! You can hone your skills with quality Master Classes and tutorials, learn alongside fellow stampers of all abilities and ask questions, share your struggles and grow you paper crafting skills with members who get it, who get you!

I'll let you stop by StampNation to see the challenge, but I'm showcasing my card here too! I love the unconventional holiday colors, the peeking Rudolf and the glitter "snow".

I am quite proud of this card, as it didn't come together without a lot of thought and pre-planning. I stayed true to my Clean and Simple style when it could have easily gone awry! It would be so much fun if you wanted to pop on over to StampNation and play along!

A Cozy Sweater

The stamped texture from the Sweater Weather background stamp from Catherine Pooler Designs' Nordic Wood Collection is amazing! It works so well stamped with ink, as well as heat embossed, which is the route I've taken for this card. 

As usual, I started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. I stamped with embossing ink Sweater Weather and then heat embossed it in white. I applied Sauna Ink over the entire panel for the emboss resist technique, and then to age the look and make it more cozy, I added some Over Coffee Ink as well to some areas.

I cut the panel down, and on the bottom half I added the Wishes Word Die, and then a panel stamped with the All Around Wishes Stamp Set. To finish the card, I adhered a few select sequins from Oak City Sequin Mix.

Repeating Row of Holiday Trees

 

This year I'm the hostess for the holiday challenge series over on StampNation and we are already on our third challenge! Haven't heard about StampNation? It is an amazing crafting community where paper crafters gather to share the love of stamping and card making! You can hone your skills with quality Master Classes and tutorials, learn alongside fellow stampers of all abilities and ask questions, share your struggles and grow you paper crafting skills with members who get it, who get you!

I'll let you stop by StampNation to see the challenge, but I'm showcasing my card here too! To create my card, I did the "direct ink to paper" technique to create six rows of colored cardstock. My ink choses from left to right are: Deck the Halls, Mardi Gras, Lime Rickey, Be Mine, Samba and Cranberry Fizz.  I adhered these to a coffee filter, so that I could trim to the size I needed and then adhered to a white card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. Then, I stamped a row of the trees from the Caroling Sentiments Stamp Set with Wow Embossing Ink and heat embossed in white. I splattered some white paint across the card and then white heat embossed a sentiment from Lil' Inker Designs (oh, how I miss that company!). The final touch was to add a die cut tree from Winterhaven Dies.

Perhaps you can figure out the theme of the challenge with this card, but it would be so much fun if you wanted to pop on over to StampNation and play along!
