Des Moines

Artichoke hearts are one of the items that I used to despise as a child, but absolutely love as an adult. Do you have any vegetables that are like that? I really love the bold design of the artichoke in the Veggies, Please Stamp set from Catherine Pooler Designs. Well, all the vegetables in that set actually!

My shaker card today showcases that said artichoke, as well as the awesome, rustic, retro Des Moines Sequin Mix. I started with a white card base from ultra smooth Premium White Cardstock. I then cut a frame from the largest of the Picture Frames Dies and stamped a texture from the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Icing on the Cake Ink. I then adhered a piece of acetate to the back, along with some dimensional adhesive, and then before adhering it to a card base, added some sequins from Des Moines Sequin Mix to create a shaker.

I finished the card with a sentiment from Veggies, Please and Magnetic Messages Stamp Set, along with a few additional stamps from Veggies, Please (cut from dies from the coordinating Die Set.) Love this play on words with the artichoke heart!

Most of these items that I used today were from the newest release, In the Kitchen, from Catherine Pooler Designs. They are all available in the store.
I hope I inspired you today to create an easy shaker.
