"The Best Idea Ever" Idea

Do you ever start out making a card with a really fabulous, "the best idea ever", idea in your head? You are all excited and gather the supplies. You stamp perfectly. Then at just the moment before you glue, you say, "Wow, wait a minute. This looks like poo." (Or something slightly more professional or grown up I imagine...) So then you go back to the drawing board, perhaps leaving the mess sit for hours on end and up with a card that turned out even more fabulous than your really fabulous "the best idea ever" idea?! Love it when that is the end result and not piles and piles of poo.

April is upon us and that means another fabulous sketch artist, Dina Kowal, being featured at Skipping Stones Design, along with two new guest designers, Annette Allen and Veronica Zallis! Please stop on over to the Skipping Stones Design Blog to see the fabulous samples from these ladies and the rest of the designers. Also, you can catch more about the challenge details and rules!

My card today features the fun set, Funny Coffee Volume #1 from Skipping Stones Design and the awesome color splash combination from The Play Date Cafe. The coffee ring, sleeve deer decoration and the latte part of the sentiment where stamped in brown, that, along with the natural twine, are the only splashed of the neutral.

  2. card card with a great image and sentiment. I have "poo" on my table all the time. I am SO struggling with some baby cards right now. Hate every idea I have had...ANYWAY, check out my blog today... shout out to Karen Baker on there. Remember that acetate you sent me months ago... I have stared at it all this time and finally came up with something mildly cute and clever.
