Having to make sympathy cards isn't ideal, but they are needed and I hope the recipients do find comfort in the handmade designs. I needed a sympathy card, and quick, so I created this one layer card with a retried Catherine Pooler Designs Stamp Set, Grateful Hearts.
I started with a blue cardstock card base, and onto it, I stamped a custom floral arrangement in Black Jack Ink with various stamps from Grateful Hearts. I colored the florals and foliage in with colored pencils and added detail with a white gel pen.
I stamped a sentiment from Faithful Flutterings in the center. Faithful Flutterings is definitely a staple set, there are many wonderful and comforting sentiments in the set. I finished the card by inking blending the edges with Stone Blue Ink, for almost a vintage look.
