The Big Birthday Giveaway Game: Day 3

Are you having fun? I am!
It's been a joy reading your comments/answers.
I'm sure that a lot of people will agree when I say that comments are
a big part of what keeps people blogging. I enjoy reading your thoughts,
the good or the bad (i.e. constructive criticism).
They cheer me up, they help me to improve.
I know it takes time to leave a comment, and I know time is so valuable,
so each and every comment I receive is so valuable.
(Ok, maybe not the spam ones!)
Thank you for your comments. Please keep them coming.

This answer could be a vise verse- perhaps I found your blog!
The answer "I'm not sure" won't work here!

I look forward to your visit tomorrow to find out the next product from the giveaway loot
and to answer another (easy) question for your fourth entry!

P.S. This is open to all my readers, wherever you are located! I so much appreciate your visits!

  1. Gosh, Karen, that's a tough question! I *think* it was around the time I was a Guest Designer for Practicing Creativity. Needless to say, once I paid you a visit I was hooked!

  3. Since I did not start card making until a few months ago and I actually remebered. I found your blog at the stamped background color trend challenge through Embellish blog. I really love the graphic design of your entry card. Happy birthday!

  5. I can't remember how exactly I stumbled upon your LOVELY blog, perhaps it was the blog name, the inspiring creations here or that first lovely comment that you gave me...perhaps ALL of the above! But there is something about "The Bald Dragonfly"...it just keeps calling my name and I love each and every visit in this blog here! You're so inspiring, Karen! I just can't say enough about that.

  6. I believe you found me first, when I entered my first challenge. You left a very encouraging comment and that's when we discovered we actually went to college together. :) Small world indeed.

  11. ooo this is an easy one for me, since I've only been blogging since Feb this year!
I discovered your fabulous work when you were the first DT member announced on CASual Fridays back in April and I joined your group of loyal followers...it totally made my day when you decided to join mine too :)
I'm really enjoying this little quiz, glad you are too.

  16. You know, Karen, I really don't remember, but it had to be via a blog hop. That's how I have found 90% of the blogs I follow via email newsletter. I always sign up for the ones that really inspire me and whose style I relate to. I wouldn't miss an issue of the Bald Dragonfly, you have really been an inspiration to me. Thanks!!!! :o)

  21. Well I found your blog either from one of the challenges you participated or a blog hop and I really liked your style of cards thus you were bookmarked!

    ReplyDelete
  22. mmmm, that is a hard one because I've been following your blog for a while now and I don't quite remember. However, I would guess that I likely saw one of your spectacular cards posted on a challenge somewhere and dropped in to see other cards. I do remember retracing your many posts, hitting 'older posts' each time I arrived at the bottom of the page because I was enjoying everything so much! I love your real "artistic" flair!!

  23. I think it was through one of your FANTASTIC entries in the Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge :) I was quickly hooked on your blog and inspired by your creations! And I feel like we've known each other for YEARS!!!

  25. I want to get better at CAS cardmaking and was at the CASual Fridays blog when your card caught my eye - Wheatgrass. I clicked over to your blog, read the cute story about how you found your grass and I've been back ever since. Your blog is very inspiring and fun. Thanks for sharing.

  26. I think i found your blog from CAS-ual Friday. I kept finding myself picking your cards out of the list, so i decided to add you to my list of blogs to check out everyday!

  27. I found you through Lynn Mangan. She was the first blogger I started visiting regularly and, being overwhelmed by how many blogs were out there, I stalked her blog list and found you! I was completely in awe of your work from the beginning and even more in awe when I found out what a sweet and supportive person you are. :)

  28. hummm... i don't quite remember how, perhaps from a link from other blogger's recommendation? sigh... i wish i remember so that i can thank whoever directed me here! =)

  33. Hmmm..you left me a comment when Amy T was a guest blogger on my blog...

  34. When I first read today's question, I thought "Oh, cripes..." How am I supposed to remember that far back??? So I took a trip to your archives and can you believe that my first click took me to the exact card that led me to this blog??? I'm still reeling! How lucky for me... I coulda been clicking for awhile!!
So my click was Sweet Baby in July of last year (the 31st). I recognized the card instantly... It is still one of my all-time favs!! This card was a challenge entry over at WPlus9's Color Cue... It uses Mehndi Medallions and the colors were PERFECT! It is such a stunner! It won that challenge, too! That's when I first saw it and popped over. I soon started commenting on your blog and you became such a religious commenter on my amateur papercrafting that I couldn't, in good conscience, stop visiting you! ;) (Once I discovered email subscriptions, following blogs got much easier--I'm no good at the Google Reader thing). I loved your simple yet eye-catching designs, your use of new (at least to me) techniques and your attention-to-detail... I was hooked!
Guess while I'm here, I should thank you, too, for your wonderfully sweet comments... They have always been very much appreciated!

  35. I'm a very new reader - I found you via the Birthday Party Blog party that was thrown in your honour :) (So via Lawn Fawn)

I fell in love with your work the moment I saw it and bookmarked some card designs for this coming Xmas season - especially the masculine card with the ribbons :)

  39. Ooooh, GOOD question Karen! I believe I discovered your blog thru Practicing Creativity! I could be wrong. Now I look at a lot of blogs every day, but you and I instantly hit it off! I left you a comment, you left me a comment and thus our friendship was formed!!! You are so talented and such a lovely person..... I am so glad that we found each other out in cyber space!!!

  47. I love your little game!!! Heehee. Wish I wasn't so far behind in my blog reader.

I really had to think back to how I found you, but I think it was thru Limelight or Schlosser. Hmmm, which came first. ha. My memory is so horrible. Doesn't matter though, you blew me away from day one. I just love everything you make, such an inspiration!

  48. Thanks for letting us backtrack...I missed this day! I actually put you on my bookmark list (I'm old school ;) ) months before I started my blog in April. I visited very few trusted blogs at the time...but can't remember how I ended up at yours (I didn't read comments or anything back then). I bookmarked you because I liked your unique style-I still do. ;)
