The Waiting Game

It's a beautiful Saturday morning here and I've got a list a mile long of things to do today, so I'll be quick! I'm a firm believer in the waiting game, as good things do come to those who wait.

I have some exciting happenings on my blog the next few days, as my birthday and The Bald Dragonfly's anniversary occur on the same day. Look out for a giveaway!

I wanted to throw my hat in for Market Street Stamps Special Edition Block Party. Congratulations to them for turning a year old! There are some fabulous entries so far, I was a bit intimidated to enter this one, but I couldn't resist, I love their stamps and I think I added some cute personal touches. This snail from Slow Movin' is so cute, it is a large size so it can hold its own on a card. I added my own touches by replacing the stamped shell with dyed rolled ribbon and the antenae with knotted string. The grass is from Homegrown. I added a touch of pink ink for the cheeks-too cute! and softened everything up a bit with some creamy brown ink on the edges.

Supplies:
Cardstock: (Kraft) PTI
Patterned Paper: (Stella & Rose) My Mind's Eye
Stamps: (Slow Movin', Homegrown) Market Street Stamps
Ink: (Vintage Photo Distress) Ranger, (Sabd Beige, Petal Pink) Versacolor
Fiber: (Ivory Silk, Natural Burlap String) May Arts
Other: (Medallion Chalk Mist) Tattered Angels
Tools: (Corner Chomper) WR Memory Keepers

Love what you've done with the snail's shell. Great texture (hint hint, Moxie fab). And the patterned paper is great, almost looks like one of your misting/distressed backgrounds.
