A&W

Way back when my parents would haul us all in their vehicle to the A&W Drive-In in town for a special treat, and what a treat those rootbeer floats were! Always thought it was so cool how the hops would come out with your food and hang it on the window...

Lil' Inker Designs has a lot in store for me and you this month with their January Release, including a set designed by me. If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from Judith's Blog. I inked up one of the new images from the Lil' Inker Sugar Kissed Cottage line: it is from the set called Eat Dessert First!

I simply inked it up in black and stamped it right onto a pink cardstock base and selectively colored parts of the image with marker. I framed the image with the Instant Camera Die. I then added some patterned paper from Echo Park (also available at the Lil' Inker Store) and finished with a large bow made from May Arts Crinkled Ribbon and a black mini clothespin. Oh, and I can't forget the sentiment, it came from the same set!

Today's Tip: Selectively color parts of an intricate image for a completely different look.

There's a lot of product debuting this month, please be sure to stop by the Lil' Inker Blog for details. There is a prize up for grabs too-one winner will be selected from comments lefts on one of the participent's blogs, so please be sure to let us know what you think! Up next is the delightful Laura.

  11. First thing I noticed was the angled stark white frame. But then when you pointed out the selective coloring - how great. I don't remember that option often enough (since I'm not a colorer. What a wonderful effect.
