Corded Telephone

**Please scroll down to find out the winner of my Season's Givings Post and see my CAS-ual Fridays Stamp card.**

The in-laws still have a corded telephone. It sits on a ledge in a little window between the hallway and the kitchen. My boys are now just tall enough where they can reach it and think it is the most delightful form of entertainment to call someone (like their papa) and walk around with the body of the phone, twirling the cord between their fingers and cocking their heads to the side to hold the receiver...
The Craft's Meow

If you are following the hop in order, you should have arrived from Julie Ranae Murray's Blog, but if you'd like to start at the beginning or find out more details, please stop by The Craft's Meow Blog.

The focus of my card is that amazing chartreuse telephone, the stamp is found in For My Dad, a retiring set from The Craft's Meow. I stamped it over a background of circles from Retro Foundations (also added some misting!), and finished it with a sentiment from Good Times (note: these two sets are not retiring, but were a great fit with my theme).

My inspiration was the colors from Create's Card Blog Challenge.

Today's Tip: Create a custom background with repetitive stamping and a few flecks of mist in the same color as the ink used on the stamp.

Here's some more information: The Craft's Meow is offering 15% off the already reduced prices of their retiring stamp sets, many of which have been marked down up to 50% off! The code to enter at checkout is Winter15. The sale goes through 11:59 pm Pacific on Friday, January 11th. You can find all the retiring stamp sets by clicking here. There is a prize up for grabs too~a retiring stamp set of choice (in stock only) that is drawn from one comment left on the store blog hop post. The hop will go through 9:00 pm Pacific on Wednesday, January 9th.

Your next stop is Lin Brandyberry!
