Here For You & Giveaway Winner

Did you see the debut of Season Three of Downton Abbey here in the States? By golly, it was good! I was glued to the tv, and didn't realize until it was over that there were no commercial breaks! I adore the costuming, I think that is my favorite part of the show.

I have a serene card for you today that features Calm and Gentle from Cas-ual Fridays Stamps. I took advantage of a new to me paper pack (Basic Grey's Soliel) and stamped directly onto the beautiful watercolor background the three tree trunks and leaves from the set (stamping off first). I wrapped the seam of the patterned paper and card base with May Arts Natural Burlap String and added a sentiment stamped onto a banner to finish the card. I'm entering this into the Basic Grey Challenge: Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamps Challenge: Something New.

Today's Tip: The Stamping Off Technique (ink your image and stamp onto a scrap piece of paper before stamping your final image onto your card) worked really well with the background paper. The full concentration of ink would have overpowered the watercolor effect that the paper has.
